ABTV Happy Mother’s Day to Bravo Moms

Each of these Bravo reality-moms are all celebrating their first Mother’s Day as a new mom! From IVF journeys and c-sections to dog-lovers and hilarious feedings, these Bravo-lebrities are keeping the first year of motherhood open, honest and, of course, REAL.

Summer House alum Ashley Wirkus McAtee just barely missed her first official Mother’s Day last year when she gave birth to her first son, Dean Hudson McAtee, on May 24th, 2019. The California resident and Uptown Carlsbad owner has sweetly chronicled her first year as a new mom with adorable pics of her handsome little man all over instagram, including this to DIE for pic from Easter.

Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gretchen Rossi may have been a polarizing figure while on the show, but she’s proving to be a super-proud mom since giving birth to her daughter, Skylar Gray, in July 2019. Rossi, who conceived through IVF with hubby Slade Smiley, admitted early on that “this whole ‘Mommy thing’ was a lot easier when she was just in my belly,” she and Smiley seem to have found their stride, posting this too-adorable video on her IG page on April 23.

And speaking of Housewives, Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa announced the arrival of her daughter, Asha-Leigh Presley Nunes on November 2, 2019, calling it “one of the most amazing and emotional and hardest days of my life,” and adding, “All I can say is women are true warriors.” The former model and animal advocate admits she’s already teaching her daughter to love animals as well, sharing a sweet post on May 1st surrounded by her rescued pups, one of whom snagged a quick kiss from Asha-Leigh.

And rounding out the Bravo-lebrities of new moms celebrating their first Mother’s Day is Shahs of Sunset star Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, who welcomed her baby boy, Elijah, in April of this year. The new mom has been completely unfiltered about her journey to motherhood, first announcing that she was pregnant via IVF through the help of a sperm donor, then that she had both Fallopian tubes removed due to an ectopic pregnancy.

“I’m a strong believer in karma and I do believe I’ve done enough wrong, that this is my karma cycle. I’m not a victim and will never play the victim role. This was simply a lesson,” GG writes in a raw post on April 3rd, sharing an image of her surgery scars.

Days later, on April 27th, Elijah made his grand entrance, which the new mom announced with a heartfelt and emotional post about the challenges of having a baby during a global pandemic and the obstacles that stood in their way moving forward. It’s scary that I don’t have all of the answers to give my son when he asks me certain questions like, ‘Who is my dad’? It’s scary that after holding him for just 10 minutes, my arms and hands go numb because of my rheumatoid arthritis and it makes it so painful for me to cuddle my baby all day. It’s scary that I will have to play the role of 2 parents and teach a boy how to become a man when I know nothing about it myself. There are a million obstacles which lie ahead for me and baby Elijah, but I honestly wouldn’t trade any of it for the world! He is so special to me and I completely submit my entire self to him for as long as my heart beats… because it now only beats for him!”

Having a baby during this unfortunate pandemic is hard, but it's nothing compared to the many obstacles which lie ahead of me. It was definitely a bit scary to be in the hospital knowing this extremely contagious virus is all around, but it's also scary that I don't have all of the answers to give my son when he asks me certain questions like, "Who is my dad"? It's scary that after holding him for just 10 minutes, my arms and hands go numb because of my rheumatoid arthritis and it makes it so painful for me to cuddle my baby all day. It's scary that I will have to play the role of 2 parents and teach a boy how to become a man when I know nothing about it myself. There are a million obstacles which lie ahead for me and baby Elijah, but I honestly wouldn't trade any of it for the world! He is so special to me and I completely submit my entire self to him for as long as my heart beats… because it now only beats for him! #MySon #Grateful
