Ashton Kutcher  is speaking out and raising awareness when it comes to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Mila Kunis’ husband caught the attention of many after an emotional post, explaining on Instagram why the term ‘All Lives Matter’ is missing the point.

This all stemmed from a conversation he had with his two children, 5-year-old daughter Wyatt and 3-year-old son Dimitri on why girls should go first before boys.

“I said, ‘You know why girls go first? For you and me, girls go first, and the reason why is for some boys, girls don’t get to go at all. And so for you and me, girls go first.'” Kutcher explained.  “So when it comes to Black Lives Matter, I think what folks that are writing All Lives Matter need to understand is that for some people black lives don’t matter at all, so for us, Black Lives Matter. So while you may have the best intentions in saying All Lives Matter, remember for some people black lives don’t matter at all.”

As of Thursday evening, the 42-year-old’s Instagram post has been viewed more than 4 million times with many people giving praise to the actor.

“Thank you… I was one of those people. NOT any more… BLM.” Said one user.

“It’s very simple… All lives can’t matter if black lives don’t matter, that’s why Black Lives must matter.” explained another user.

Actor Keith Powers also commented, defending Kutcher, after some were not too happy about the now viral video.

“He literally just explained it in one of the simplest ways possible and people are choosing not to understand. It absolutely baffles me. Appreciate you Ashton.  Said The Famous In Love Star

Ashton Kutcher isn’t the only celebrity using his platform to raise awareness.

Many celebrities have been using social media in order to get the word out, and show support after a black man named George Floyd was killed due to police brutality.
