EXCLUSIVE – Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Except in this case, it’s women, and the scorned on Double Shot at Love have brought receipts.
The MTV show featuring DJ Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino’s attempt to find love ended Thursday night with both of the men in the same boat they arrived in: the single boat.
What was once 20 women was narrowed down to two ladies, Nikki Hall with DJ Pauly D, and Alysse Joyner with Vinny. While Pauly told Nikki he wanted to remain single during the season finale, Vinny actually told Alysse he wanted to date her. However, within a few minutes after the episode aired, Vinny posted a tweet saying the two were no longer together.
“Unfortunately, Alysse and I weren’t allowed to see each other publicly after filming for 5 months until the finale aired to not spoil the ending. Very weird situation to be put in after the finale. I struggled to keep it alive through text. Still think she’s amazing.Wish her the best,” wrote Vinny.
Alysse obviously didn’t feel the same way, quote retweeting what Vinny said with the caption, “BULLSHITTTTTTT.”
Alysse wasn’t the only one upset. Nikki accused Pauly of playing her the whole time. She appeared on AfterBuzz TV’s Double Shot at Love Aftershow Thursday night after the finale aired and aired Pauly’s dirty laundry.
“Pauly talked to me the next day. After, after the elimination, I got home, to my home home, and he messaged me and he was like, ‘Nikki, like, I made a mistake. Like, nobody can tell me who to love,'” revealed Nikki. “We spoke every day up, up until the first episode aired.”
She even showed proof with pictures of their messages on Twitter.
“I miss you more than life it self” read one tweet, allegedly from Pauly. It continued, “There ain’t nobody in this world better for u. I PROMISE U THAT.”
Another message read, “I love u the way u are.”
“We all feel like we got played in some way” said Nikki, “every single woman on that show. I feel like, we kinda wasted our time, cause mind you, this process wasn’t just like some casual dating show. We had our families involved.”
“It was just all fake,” agreed fellow Double Shot at Love contender Nadya Erazo, who also appeared on AfterBuzz TV.
Nikki issued a final shot to Pauly on Twitter, writing, “The next time you feel alone in a crowded room… Just know that you had someone and you played yourself.”
For all of the women, it was a learning experience they’ll never forget and a lesson they’ll live with.
“I would never take it back,” said Nayda. “I have no regrets. It was fun. It was amazing. I got to meet the most amazing women. We’re all friends, like, we got friendships out of it, so it was definitely worth it.”
Nikki agreed, adding “I think that we got chosen, only 20 girls, um, out of however many thousand girls that auditioned, so I feel like whoever selected us saw something in all of us that was beyond anybody else. Um, and we kinda just rided out our time in the house. We told our story. We had our truth, and that was it.”
