The year was 2013, and I just made the realization my new goal in life is to be the next Guiliana Rancic on E! News. I fell in love with the network and realized this was my calling. Almost 10 years later, the show that inspired me to become an entertainment journalist is now coming to a close. This is especially heartbreaking because E! News was the show to change the course of what entertainment journalism looks like today. E! News had just moved to New York City from Los Angeles right before COVID-19 broke. The Show network also introduced the public to some of our favorite TV journalists. Here’s a look at some of the famous faces from E! News

Giuliana Rancic:

From E! News to Fashion Police, Giuliana was the face of E! for the longest time. She even had her own reality show on the network because we loved her so much! Right now, Giuliana resides in Idaho with her son Duke and husband Bill taking the fashion world by storm with her G by Giuliana collection.

Jason Kennedy:

Jason Kennedy first stepped on the scene of E! News in the early 2000s. After graduating from the University of Miami (my hood). Kennedy was a main host of E! News until 2018 when he was promoted to host In the Room.

Maria Menounos:

Well this name looks familiar, doesn’t it? Maria became the main host of E! News in 2015, replacing Giuliana Rancic. Before that, she worked on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, and Extra to name a few. Now she is the founder of Afterbuzz TV along with her husband Keven Undergaro.

Terrence J:

Terrance J was actually a part of the E! family way before he replaced Ryan Secreast in 2012. He appeared on Kourtney and Khole take Miami in 2009 and hosted a Kardashian inspired radio show on Y100. In 2018 Forbes named him “as one of the most respected on-air personalities in pop culture.”

Justin Sylvester:

Oh Justin, the gem of the network I like to believe. Justin actually made his TV debut on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 2 as Kyle Richards’ first assistant. Another accolade is his producing of Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. Now he hosts Daily Pop with Carissa Culiner and Morgan Stewart.

Erin Lim:

The queen of Snapchat herself. The host of E!’s the Rundown has been going on for more than 500 episodes (including during quarantine). Erin is one of the newer additions to E! Coming on the scene in 2016. Before that she actually worked on E! News Asia in 2015.

From what started as one of the main personalities of Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, Morgan has turned into the face of E! over the years. She is the host of Nightly Pop and Daily Pop. We’ve seen her grow up over the years from getting married, to divorcing and now engaged and having a baby girl. The announcement is fresh off the press from Monday, August 10, 2020.

While I personally have my thoughts on why the show ended after 30 years, the show still holds a special place in my heart. I also don’t think it’s the last time we’ll see E! News. Good news is Daily Pop and Nightly Pop are still on the show slate. Pop of the Morning and In the Room have also been cancelled.

On a lighter note: I also want to extend a congratulations to Morgan Stewart on her baby girl! We’ve seen Morgan grow up from Rich Kids of Beverly Hills and Daily Pop. Now she’s taking the network by storm on not one but two shows. I wish her the best of luck on her new adventure!
