The Denver Broncos have started training camp to prepare for the 2020 season. They are inviting players back to the field but without outside attendance from the press or audience.

With the Coronavirus pandemic still in full swing, the Broncos have taken an extra step to ensure players safety and confidence. The Denver team has installed a special “misting booth” at the team’s facility. They installed a “misting booth” that sprays a disinfectant onto the players  as they enter and exit the field.

The disinfectant spray is called MicroSURE which is 99.99% effective against the most common germs. It kills bacteria, and viruses including E.Coli, Enterococcus hirae, and Coronavirus on contact. The all purpose disinfectant according to the SERVISMED website is “effective for weeks and months longer than typical disinfectants.”

In addition to supplying the team with a disinfectant “misting booth,” advisors for the team brought players into the UCHealth Training Center to review precautions the franchise is taking to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The players sat at their own tables generously spaced apart while doctors, coaches and trainers spoke about facility protocols.

New testing measures to ensure the health and safety of players have been put into place for including daily testing that will take place between the hours of 6AM- 12PM according to a slide the team posted to its website.

Star player Von Miller battled COVID-19 for almost 3 weeks in April, causing him to lose 15 pounds. The outside linebacker has since made a full recovery and returned to the team for training camp.
