Founded by Emmy winning journalist Maria Menounos and Producer Keven Undergaro, AfterBuzz TV is the artist-friendly entertainment news platform that celebrates, discusses, interviews, promotes and reports on the widest range of stars, creators and content through video, audio and article publications.

Many artists have spoken up, donated, and are standing alongside the Black community to fight against the injustices they face in our society. The Black Lives Matter movement has been seen on a global scale and BTS is speaking out in support of the movement, using their platform to raise awareness.

BTS shared a post on Twitter stating:

“We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together.”

In addition to using their platform to speak up and raise awareness, BTS, along with their label Big Hit Entertainment, had already donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter at the beginning of the week.

Since BTS’ donation, BTS ARMY has started their own #MatchAMillion campaign, to match BTS’ $1 million by donating to Black Lives Matter and other organizations such as the NAACP, Color Of Change, and The Movement For Black Lives. The fandom can also choose to make a donation to a single organization, or choose to split their donation amongst every organization listed, and has quickly raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and counting. At this rate, ARMY could potentially reach their goal of $1 million in less than 24 hours.

One In An ARMY, a monthly charity program on Twitter, is tracking donations and has compiled a list of organizations that ARMY can donate to. If you’d like to split your donation, the link can be found here: and the carrd link can be found here:

We here at AfterBuzz TV are fully in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, so continue to tune in to our network daily for more coverage like this and more from the pop culture and entertainment world.
