Blake Hortsmann is apparently fed up with being thrown under the bus on Bachelor in Paradise, so he’s dragging others down with him for company.
On the opening night on BIP Season 6, it was revealed Hortsmann slept with BOTH Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Kristina Schulman on back-to-back nights at the Stagecoach music festival in April.
Schulman called him out for it first on the show.
She said it was a, “slap in the face.”
Hortsmann was shocked to hear Schulman address their relationship on national television (apparently not understanding what happens on Bachelor in Paradise), but it wasn’t over for him. Next, he was approached by Caelynn.
“I just feel really disrespected. I feel hurt,” said Caelynn.
Hortsmann tried to defend himself on the show saying, ““It looks like we [he and Caelynn] slept together and I bolted. And that wasn’t what happened. Sometimes you try to do the right thing — I didn’t want to disrespect Caelynn, I didn’t want to disrespect Kristina. Man, this is bad. I look like the worst human in the world.”
Hortsmann had also previously gone on a date with Tayshia Adams, who said she could no longer trust him after hearing about everything.
Tuesday, Hortsmann took to Instagram to clarify his side of the story by posting private text messages between him and Caelynn.
Caelynn allegedly tells Hortsmann to “loosen up,” adding “let’s just have a good time man.”
The very revealing text messages definitely show Caelynn coming on to Hortsmann very strongly at Stagecoach, allegedly saying “only sex” in regards to them hanging out, before adding, “If I come over it’s strictly for sex. Nothing more nothing less.”
Hortsmann then posted a screenshot of a text allegedly from one week prior to the taping of Bachelor in Paradise in which both are freaked out. It’s not clear what triggered the fear between them.
Hortsmann says he’s considering pulling out of Bachelor in Paradise; which he obviously reconsidered.
Caelynn asks for a day to think about everything before adding, “I think it may be better to be honest, but I honestly don’t know.”
She then tried reassuring Hortsmann it’ll be alright, saying “If we play it off as not a big deal then it’s not. Everybody hooks up in this world.”
Hortsmann adds, “ya, but not everyone is you and me.”
Hortsmann ended up deleting the messages from his Instagram story, and then put out a post sharing his thoughts.
Schulman actually commented on the post, saying, “Speak your truth, no one can take that away from you.”
Fellow Bachelor alum, Kaitlyn Bristowe offered support to Hortsmann.
“Thank you for being vulnerable and honest,” commented Bristowe.
The text messages definitely paint a better picture of everything happening right now in Paradise. Now, with everyone involved still on the show, we’ll see how it all unfolds!
