In trying times, one thing that can feed the light in us and give us hope is music. AfterBuzz TV proudly presents ‘Quarantine Musical Discoveries’.  These are the inspirational new voices emerging from isolation, cherished voices that get us through. It’s our pleasure to share them with you during this, our most challenging time..

DVSN is an R&B duo from Canada composed of artists Nineteen85 and Daniel Daley. All of the DVSN superfans probably discovered the duo from the music streaming platform Soundcloud. When the group debuted, many would say they were ahead of their time in their sound and in the music industry. Their song, “With Me” debuted in 2016 and put them on the map, gaining more worldwide attention. Currently, DVSN’s album, “A Muse In Her Feelings” has some of your favorite artists like PARTYNEXTDOOR, Future, Snoh Aalegra, Summer Walker and many more! We’ve divided up the album and chose the top five songs, which was extremely hard to do since it is such a work of art!

“No Cryin” ft. Future

Even though we are all still in quarantine, we still have those memories of going to the club! Have you ever had to deal with a heartbreak and your friends convince you to put on your best outfit and fragrance to have a night out on the town? If so, this is the song for you! It’s time for you to start remembering your self-worth and loving yourself more  This song will have you remembering your self-worth and eliminating the people in your life who no longer serve a positive purpose. Next time you think about crying in the club or “Club Quarantine” play this record and give your heart to the music.

“Flawless, Do it Well, Pt.3” ft. Summer Walker

This record will make you feel confident and have you channeling your inner sexy side. “Flawless” is the absolute perfect song to listen to when getting dressed for a night out, singing your heart out in the shower, or if you need a boost of self-encouragement!

“No Good”

This song is the very first song your ears experience and it is truly a strong start!! Unlike its title, DVSN did a good job of choosing this as the intro because it illustrates a more vulnerable side of the two about lost love.

“Keep It Going”

Calling all the house music lovers, this track is for you! Bust out those dance moves because your feet and shoulders won’t be able to resist moving after hearing this track! DVSN switched up the flow and this song is a great example of their versatility with different musical genres. It’s also the perfect summertime feel-good song that will be the cause of many everlasting memories!

“Between US” ft. Snoh Aalegra

Let’s take a stroll down memory lane with this track! The sample used of “Nice and Slow” by Usher gives a sprinkle of sexy, rawness and the true art of R&B. The mesh of the vocals from all the artists makes it hands down one of the best songs from DVSN!

This was truly a tough one to narrow down because the entire album is a masterpiece! It’s safe to say that all the songs are #repeat worthy. What is your favorite song from the album, “Muse” and how did you discover DVSN? Plus, if you want to continue to jam out, make sure to check out the new artist Kiana Ledé
