The rumors circulating Bachelor Nation are true: Tayshia Adams will replace Clare Crawley as The Bachelorette lead.

Just two weeks into filming, ABC is replacing the four-time franchise cast member due to on-set drama, according to multiple sources who confirmed the recasting with E! News

“The producers have told her that the season will still lead with Clare and her short-lived journey, and will show Clare falling in love with one of her suitors,” one source told E! News. “Clare will then conclude her journey and announce that Tayshia is the lead.”

Though Crawley’s love story will only occupy two weeks of filming, it’s sure to be an intense storyline as Life & Style reported Monday that Crawley is already engaged to contestant Dale Moss.

“People are wondering if it was love at first sight when she and Dale met up in Palm Springs two weeks ago,” the source said.

This comes after Life & Style first broke the story Thursday that Crawley is already “falling in love” with contestant Dale Moss.

“She told producers she no longer wanted to participate in the show,” Life & Style’s insider said, noting that Crawley was “refusing to come out of her room” to shoot with other men besides Moss.

In addition to the Life & Style report, reality television expert Steve Carbone, aka Reality Steve, shared a bombshell Reddit theory to Twitter Friday, which claimed that Adams is already quarantined in a hotel near the filming location and ready to step in as the Bachelorette.

“I’ve been made aware of this Reddit post making the rounds. Been on the phone for the last two hours digging,” Carbone wrote. “I cannot confirm with 100 percent certainty if it’s true yet, but if you ask my opinion, I think there is some serious validity to it based on what I’m hearing now.”

Carbone later said in an Instagram Live he knows “100 percent as fact” that production contacted one of the men Crawley sent home asking him to come back, which may point to the show bringing in a new lead.

Crawley’s quick connection with Moss may have to do with the fact she’s the first show lead in history able to look up her cast of suitors ahead of filming, which she previously admitted to doing. Producers were “blindsided” and are allegedly scrambling to figure out a plan using the same set of men with Adams as the show lead, according to Life & Style’s source.

“Execs hope the guys will still want to participate,” the insider said. “It took them time to test them all for COVID and they’ve already been quarantined at the resort for 14 days.”

The show is already behind filming by four months due to the pandemic and the clock is ticking as The Bachelorette is slated to premiere in the fall, followed by Matt James’ season of The Bachelor in January, which ABC hopes to shoot directly after Crawley’s season.

Adams seems like a natural pick as she has previously been considered for the show lead and has major support from Bachelor Nation
