It seems things between Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood have reached a boiling point.

After Randolph did an interview with Chris Harrison on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever!, Underwood took to Instagram to share his disappointment.

“When our relationship ended we agreed to handle things as privately as possible as we attempted to navigate our new relationship as friends,” Underwood wrote in the caption. “I chose to do that since we were living in this interim period, but obviously a lot changed this week.”

These last few weeks have been challenging because, by now, you all know I’m an open book and I enjoy sharing my life with y’all. When our relationship ended we agreed to handle things as privately as possible as we attempted to navigate our new relationship as friends. I chose to do that since we were living in this interim period, but obviously a lot changed this week. Every experience provides us with an opportunity for growth. If you’ve been kind enough to have followed our story you’ve been with us through all of the ups and downs which have taught me so many lessons. I’ve come to realize when you’re in the thick of it you just need to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective, in doing so I have gained so much clarity about what I want and more importantly what I need in a relationship. I’m so excited for this next chapter of my life with new stories and new people. I can’t thank y’all enough for your understanding and your support during this time. Your messages mean a lot!

Randolph evaded every question Harrison asked about the breakup and said she didn’t want to talk about it out of respect for Underwood. After the interview aired Monday night, she even took to her Instagram stories to express her frustration with the show only airing clips about Underwood and cutting out the rest of their conversation.

After Underwood posted his own reaction to the interview on Instagram, Randolph took to her  Instagram stories again, saying she did the interview out of appreciation for the platform and experiences The Bachelor has given her. She wrote that Underwood’s post saddened and frustrated her.

“I do not wish to create an online petty war,” she began the text on her stories. “[Colton], it seems you are subtly engaging in a tactic that peppers in passive aggressive comments such as ‘that obviously changed this week’ in order to make me look like the bad one.”

She also revealed Underwood is planning to write a new chapter in his book about his experience with coronavirus, during which he stayed at the Randolph’s family home, and his breakup with Randolph. She wrote in her stories that he refused to give her approval on the chapter.

“This seems a bit unfair to me. Colton, you can do what you want, but please do not have a double standard,” she wrote. “I ask you again on public record to refrain from prolonging our break up, or dragging me, when we both know it’s unwarranted. Neither of us, or anyone close to us, would have ever predicted that I would have to write this post.”

Randolph went on to say that she wishes Underwood “nothing but the best” and hopes they can both move forward in peace.

In his own post, Underwood shared his gratitude to his fans for their support throughout his journey.

“If you’ve been kind enough to have followed our story you’ve been with us through all of the ups and downs which have taught me so many lessons,” he said. “I’ve come to realize when you’re in the thick of it you just need to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective, in doing so I have gained so much clarity about what I want and more importantly what I need in a relationship.”

Underwood ended his post saying he’s excited for his next chapter “with new stories and new people.”
