An unlikely Bachelor Nation reunion has fans questioning whether Bachelor in Paradise is secretly filming this summer.

It all started Friday when former The Bachelor lead Jesse James Palmer shared an Instagram with franchise stars Mike Johnson and Hannah Ann Sluss, all dressed in swimming suits and beachwear.

“Bachelor/Bachelorette reunion today,” he captioned the photo. “They’re both super cool and so nice!”

Palmer tagged both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette’s Instagram handles in the post, seemingly hinting that the mini-reunion has something to do with the franchise. One follower commented, “Wait does this mean Paradise is filming?!!!!”

Johnson and Sluss also filmed a funny TikTok Friday, which Johnson shared on his Instagram. While the video doesn’t reveal much about their location, Palmer’s photo of the trio shows what looks like a lifted trailer behind them, which could mean the group is on-location filming something.

Though ABC hasn’t released any plans to film Bachelor in Paradise this year, production for The Bachelorette is currently underway, and fans were previously speculating that Johnson would be a surprise addition to Clare Crawley’s cast of suitors.

One of the driving factors of this theory was Johnson’s previous inactivity on social media which roughly lined up with how long Crawley has been silent on social media. While his streak of silence on social media has been broken in the past week with these reunion posts, that doesn’t mean he’s not filming something.

After all, The Bachelor franchise loves to bring past contestants back to host special segments on the show: think Hannah Brown and Demi Burnett on Peter Weber’s season. Palmer, Johnson and Sluss could be hosting a fun group date for Crawley and her men.

One last piece of evidence for the trio filming something together is Johnson’s Instagram story Saturday, where he commented on fans saying he wasn’t taking coronavirus seriously by hanging out with others. In the video, he says that he just got his phone back after a few days offline while quarantining.

“I’m in a bubble right now and Covid is extremely high on my radar,” he said while adding in the caption, “I guarantee I’ve been tested more than most and taking higher safety precautions than most.”

Several things stand out about Johnson’s statement; the fact that he has been quarantining without his phone for several days and has been tested for Covid-19 multiple times all seem to line up with The Bachelorette’s previously released safety procedures for filming in quarantine.
