Former Bachelorette star Hannah Brown shocked fans when she made her return to The Bachelor franchise. In the trailer for the upcoming season, Brown unexpectedly shows up to meet with her ex Peter Weber, the new leading man on The Bachelor.
The sneak peek begins with Weber nestled in the cockpit of an aircraft donning trendy sunglasses—reminiscent to the style of Tom Cruise’s character in Top Gun.
In a press release from ABC, the network revealed the three-hour premiere will include Weber‘s first group and one-on-one dates, a first for the franchise. The 30 contestants vying for the pilot’s rose on night one include three flight attendants and “one hard-charging career woman who has already had a chance encounter with the Bachelor.”
“I have no idea what’s coming,” Weber confessed midway through the promo.
The 30 contestants had no clue either. Brown‘s arrival sends shockwaves through the mansion. In the choppy footage, the Dancing with the Stars champ sits down with Weber and can be heard talking about making decisions for her heart.
“I know there is still something there,” Brown added, “and I would do anything for a relationship.”
As fans know, Weber came in third on Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. They also became known as the couple that had sex (four times!) in a windmill during their night in the Fantasy Suite, according to the beauty pageant titleholder. (During the live portion of the in-studio reunion following the finale, Brown set the record straight about the exes’ intimate time spent in a windmill during filming.)
At the end of the explosive trailer, Brown and Weber cozy up on a couch. He gets extremely close to her face and pops the big question: he invites Brown to join the cast of women competing on his season.
“What would you say if I asked you to come and be part of the house,” Weber asked.
The trailer wraps as it appears Weber and Brown might kiss. (Great editing, ABC!) Without reaching too far, their smiling faces are very close to each other. Earsplitting childbirth screams erupt from shell-shocked onlookers, most likely fellow contenders for Weber’s heart.
“I know that my life will never be the same,” Weber said.
It won’t, Weber, it won’t.
Find out if Brown and Weber will kiss (four times!) when The Bachelor premieres Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
