Just when we thought Avengers: Endgame couldn’t get any bigger, it’s coming back with more!
Not only did Avengers: Endgame win big this past weekend at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, but it is returning to theaters with bonus footage. Avengers Fans Assembled!
Marvel President Kevin Feige has said that Avengers: Endgame is coming back to theaters with new footage that was not included in the original release.
“Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie,” Feige told ScreenRant. “If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises.”
The MCU hit premiered two months ago in April and has already broken numerous box office records in its April release, becoming the second highest film of all time, after Avatar. Endgame has made $2.74 billion to date, only $45 million away from beating Avatar for the top spot.
Is the studio pushing for the film to be rereleased to beat avatar? That’s the question some fans are asking.
The film will be rereleased June 28 in limited theaters.
