Ashely talks to Ava about how she’s feeling every time she thinks about Stick and Ava tells Ashley that she’s attracted to Tad. Ashley now wants Stick to be out of the “friend zone” and into the “more than a friend zone.”

Uncle Victor once again seeks advice from his business partner Nico about trying to keep Ava from leaving to Antarctica. Ava also opens up to Ashley about having a dream opportunity for work and a dream relationship with Victor. She is struggling with the idea of leaving for work and starts to second guess herself.

Ashley goes over to Brooke’s house to help her choose an outfit for an upcoming school dance. Brooke realizes that Ashley is bothered when she mentions that she has a crush on Stick. Now  Ashley has to deal with her best friend’s attraction towards a guy she is in love with and realizes she has two problems; her love for Stick and her love for her best friend.

Uncle Victor surprises Ava at her job at JPL to talk to her about his feelings. After nearly scaring the life out of Ava, Victor begins to tell Ava about how he’s feeling when she cuts him off and walks away. Victor is left without explaining his thoughts and is confused on what to do next. He goes home and meets with the witch doctor again. She explains to him he’s not ready to let go of Ava. Uncle Victor does what the rest of us do when someone we love is about to leave you…write a song.  Okay, so maybe we all don’t write songs but Victor does. It’s dance night and Victor is home alone when he receives a message from Ava to meet him at the coffee shop. He sings the song he’s written explaining if she says what he can do, but switches it up to sing about supporting her when she leaves to follow her dreams.  A watery-eyed Ava thanks Victor, kisses him,and tells him she can’t wait to hear him sing when she gets back. Victor, although broken from Ava leaving, lets her go so she can pursue her dream job.

Ashley, Tad, Brooke, Stick, and the rest of the high school students attend formal dance night. Ashley is stunning in her light blue fitted dress as she enters the dance with Tad as her date. Ashley is bummed that she’s not Stick’s date, until Tad reveals that he and Ashley are on an actual date. Ashley is head over heels for Tad when he says this. Bella approaches Tad at the dance and scolds him for attending with Ashley. He brushes her off so he can continue the night. The moment comes that viewers have been waiting for the entire season, Ashley’s first kiss. Tad offers Ashley a breath mint and kisses her as they slow dance in the center of the room. Ashley has fallen again for Tad and it seems that Tad has fallen right back for her too.
