ABTV Loves Katy Keene Weekly: Ashleigh Murray

During this time of the coronavirus pandemic, it can be difficult mentally to stay sane in such troubling times. Ashleigh Murray joined Afterbuzz TV’s Katy Keene panel and discussed various topics involving the show and mental health.

Superfans got a chance to witness the anticipated finale of season one of “Katy Keene”. The season finale left some questions answered while more questions appeared. In fact, Murray said because of the pandemic, filming cannot take place, which means season two is not yet confirmed.

Murray acknowledged during the aftershow that everyone’s experience with the pandemic is different. She also said during this time she makes sure to stay on top of her mental health.

“I have experienced very severe depression in my life and I am still coming out of a minor depression,” Murray said.

Mental health is important and no matter someone’s age, race, gender, or class, it can be affected.

“That’s something I am trying to stay very aware of and be kind to myself,” she said.

Murray said one way she deals with her mental health during this time is having a therapist. She said she understands some may not have access to a therapist, but she does have recommendations on staying mentally healthy.

“Be really kind to yourself and understand you are not the only one experiencing this anxiety. It’s a common side effect of what we’re dealing with so, you’re not alone, just try to find as much support as you can like having a zoom call, just taking care of yourself,” Murray said.
