After taking a two-week hiatus to focus on issues that have been overlooked for way longer than we should be proud of as a society, it is important to move forward with our lives and begin to enjoy the things that make life beautiful. However, it is important to never forget what George Floyd, and the countless other victims who have suffered from the same injustices, have taught us about the changes we need to see and the responsibility we have as a whole to make sure they happen. Make it your responsibility to continue to remain aware, knowledgeable, and to spread the message to others.

Now let’s shift over to the reason you’re here. Let’s dive into what’s happening in the specular world of reggaeton! Ozuna dropped a new song called Mi Niña right on time for Father’s day, considering that the song is about his one and only daughter. In the past he has been very vocal about how he carries himself in his music career, making sure he never does anything to degrade other women, because he feels like that would be disrespectful to his daughter and wife. This new song is just another representation of how much he loves his little girl, Sofia. If you want to see their bond for yourself make sure to check out his music video!

Lunay and Lil Mosey leaked part of their new song Dime, which is a blend of American rap and reggaeton. They speak both English and Spanish in this song, so it has a little bit of everything for both audiences to understand. They have not announced a release date for this song, but we’re hoping it’s sooner rather than later, because it’s the perfect song to vibe out to this summer.

Lastly, as many of you already know, Anuel AA recently dropped his album Emmanuel. He talks about this in his interview with El Guru, the founder of Rapeton, and he also clarifies the ongoing drama he’s had with Tekashi 6ix9ine. His fans have been asking for a song with a 6ix9ine feature, but Anuel has made it very clear that it will never happen. As much as he would love to please his fans and make smart business moves, he strongly backs the “street code” and supporting a “chota,” Puerto Rican slang word for snitch, goes against everything he believes in.
