On Valentine’s Day, Bynes posted a picture of her engagement ring on Instagram and wrote, “Engaged to tha love of my life.”

Many comments followed, including a slew of fans asking Bynes about her current welfare. Bynes, who sought help in January 2019 after a relapse, currently resides in a sober living facility. This combined with the ring on the other hand in the picture had many speculating her finacé was already married.

“I think he already married,” Libert.reyes1 wrote in response to the post.

“Plenty of men wear engagement rings too nowadays,” Stefany_Kovacich said in Bynes’s defense. “I know a few.”

While another commenter focused more on Bynes’s mental health.

“I hope you’re doing well,” Kate_white07 wrote.

“She obviously isn’t,” Philipkessler said in response.

Bynes, who came to fame in the nineties with her appearance on Nickelodeon’s All That, The Amanda Show, and movies such as She’s the Man and Easy A, took a hiatus from the entertainment business after 2010. She went back to school and recently graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Between 2012 and 2013, the media followed Bynes’s breakdown extensively. What began with a DUI turned into Bynes throwing a bong out the window and then, later, with her setting a fire in a stranger’s driveway. At this point, she was taken into custody and placed in a mental care facility.

Bynes’s January 2019 relapse has many fans concerned, but they also seem hopeful she will continue down a healing path.

Recently, she posted a separate post with her fiancee, Paul Michael, with him with the caption, “Lover.” In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, perhaps it’s the help of a loving companion who will be able to stand with Bynes during this difficult time.
