Jennifer Lopez revealed tuesday that she and fiance Alex Rodriguez are postponing their wedding indefinitely due to the coronavirus.

Jenny from the block zoomed in with the Today Show to explain. “Really, there’s no planning right now, you just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out,” she said. Lopez reportedly planned to wed in Italy this summer before quarantine orders took place and caused the delay. “It’s disappointing on one level, you know, after the Super Bowl and after World of Dance, after we finished filming it, I planned to take time off, which is what we’re doing kind of rightnow, but at the same time, we had a lot of plans for this summer,” she said.

When asked how she felt about the postponed day she said, “I’m a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans but I’m also like, you know what? God has a bigger plan, so we just have to wait and see.” Sources close to Lopez and Alex Rodriguez told Us Weekly  the wedding was paid for and planned out before the pandemic.  The ‘El Anillo’ singer said, “Maybe it’s going to be better, I have to believe that it will be.”

2019… it’s the last day of a decade… wow… when I think back to 2010… and think of all the things that happened between now and then I smile softly and contently on the inside… because even though some of the tougher moments popped into my head first, I realize I survived them all and they led me into the best time of my life so far. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing…I feel stronger and more at peace with who I am now than I ever have… I hope that you all can look back in the same way and enjoy every moment of your journey. Savor it, enjoy it!!!! It’s the 20’s. Get ready to roar!!! And laugh and dance and live live live! ♥️♥️♥️ #limitless #happynewyear link in my bio for the full video!

Lopez and A-rod have said they’re staying busy with zoom calls and family dinners. The couple has been planning with their teams on how the next 12 months will play out, and they posted to their instagrams encouraging their fans to stay home to help fight the virus.

In a quarantine interview with AfterBuzz TV, Director Santiago Salviche spoke about his experience directing the star. The El Anillo (The Ring) Director sat down in an exclusive interview with hosts Ronnie Jr. and Russell Ray on A Podcast about J.LO.

When asked about Alex and Jennifer’s engagement, Salviche said, “When he proposed, he found that ring from that video that was on that last shot.” The 777 owner said Rodriguez found out where the ring came from for the music video and got in contact with Tiffany’s for the rare stone. He later detailed that Tiffany’s was a product placement for the music video for Lopez, and by chance Alex picked that ring for her.

When asked about the power couples dynamic, he said, “They’re meant to be by personality and perspective…but at the same time they complement each other really well…behind the scenes, not just on camera.”
