Reality TV often portrays a side of you that is not fully who you are or a side that you wish wasn’t being broadcast to countless amounts of people across the world, but at least you get paid well right? WRONG!

90 Day cast member Danielle Jbali recently did an interview on the Domenick Nati Show revealing how much the cast is paid to be on the show while also saying that some cast members aren’t paid at all!

When asked what a cast member is paid, she responded while she couldn’t disclose the actual amount it was a lot less than people believe.

“I would say it’s close to ten thousand if you’re in all the episodes for the season.”

She also said you don’t get the full amount up front but instead in installments as insurance to stick to your NDA, which she says stays in effect until 9 months after your last episode airs.

“When I first started in 2014, we got half of it up front, and half at the end of the season. And they hold it so that if you break your NDA you don’t get the rest of your money.”

She also confirmed that you’re often re-signed for specials or more seasons at the end of the nine months to continue to keep you under NDA.

Due to the fact that it could take a whole year or more to get your full 10K, Danielle says she has always had to have a job while filming the show.

“I’ve always had a job, even doing the show I’ve always kept my job. I’ve not quit my job, I’ve always kept it, because you can’t live on not knowing if you’re going to be filming again.”

The biggest shock was still to come though, when asked if the foreigners are paid differently she revealed that they aren’t always paid if they don’t have a work permit.

“When the foreigner is in the U.S. the foreigner doesn’t get paid until after they get the work permit.”

She clarifies that this means if the foreigner does not have a work permit, they are not paid at all during their time filming the show.

“When Mohomad first got here I was the one that got paid, until after he got his work permit, and had his social security number; then he started getting paid.”

She did say that from what she understands the foreigner does get paid if they are filming in their own country.

“When they go overseas to film, like for the other show, like Before the 90 Days, and The Other Way, they get paid because they’re in their country and they’re able to work.”

However Olga, who was filming in her own country said in a Instagram story that she wasn’t paid to do the show at all. She did confirm that the Americans and those with work permits do get paid.
