K-Pop fans! As always, this week was filled with big announcements, awards, record breaking numbers and new releases. Let’s get into it!

NCT 127’s Johnny & Mark

Johnny and Mark released a music video for their song QTAH, which stands for Quality Time At Home. Mark wrote his rap parts and starred in the video while Johnny produced the track and shot the video. The duo has been staying creative in isolation and also released a self-made short film Freaky Handshake in April. Check it out here!

There has been a lot of waiting and speculating behind BLACKPINK’s future comeback. Finally, YG Entertainment officially announced that they will be making their comeback in June. They’ve promised to keep us posted when an official date is set. Get ready, Blinks!

BLACKPINK’s very own JENNIE became the first female K-Pop solo artist to hit 450 million views on YouTube with her SOLO music video. She also surprised us on Instagram live this week to do an unboxing of her Gentle Monster sunglasses collaboration. She was joined by her members and BIGBANG’s G-Dragon. We love seeing the ladies having so much fun together!

On Tuesday morning, Variety announced that BTS will join Barack and Michelle Obama, along with other special guests, on YouTube’s “Dear Class of 2020” original special. The guys are set to be commencement speakers and performers at the grad night after party. For more BTS news, check out our Veronica Valencia’s BTS Buzz here

On Sunday night, the winners of the 12th Annual Shorty Awards were announced. TWICE was awarded Best in Music against a lot of stiff competition including Billie Eilish and Lizzo. This was the perfect follow up to their comeback announcement last week.

EXO’s Suho

EXO leader Suho has announced in a personal letter to EXO-L that his official military enlistment date is May 14. Fellow members Xiumin and D.O. are currently serving and rumored to be getting discharged in December and January. We wish all three members the very best as they carry out their military duties.

We needed that after the last piece of news. Thank you, Chanyeol. On the bright side, we always have more to look forward to. I have high hopes for a lot of fun things to get lost in next week. See you then!
