While American primetime television is coming to a halt due to the current climate, you don’t have to worry! There are so many new K-Dramas premiering in August that you can sink your teeth in. Here are the 3 that we’re most looking forward to!

When I Was Prettiest

Starring: Im Soo-hyang, Ji Soo, Ha Seok-jin

Release Date: August 19, 2020

Ji Soo, well-known for his role in Netflix’s My First First Love, is back on screen as the leading man in this upcoming drama. The story follows two brothers, Seo Hwan (Ji Soo) and Seo Jin (Ha Seok-jin), who are in love with the same woman. The apple of their eye is Oh Ye-ji, played by Im Soo-hyang, who you may know from My ID Is Gangnam Beauty. Who’s going to get the girl? We can’t wait to find out.

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol

Starring: Lee Jae-wook, Go Ara

Release Date: August 26, 2020

This romantic comedy brings together a pianist, Goo La La (Go Ara), and a part-timer, Sun Woo-joon (Lee Jae-wook), who meet at a piano academy. As they find out each other’s hidden pasts, and turbulent presents, they stick together throughout this love story. You’ve seen our leading couple in multiple popular roles before. Go Ara is well-known for Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth and Kim Jae-wook recently starred in Her Private Life. Their performances will no doubt bring the ultimate chemistry to these characters.

Do You Like Brahms?

Starring: Kim Min-jae, Park Eun-bin

Release Date: August 31, 2020

I know I’m not the only one who has been waiting with bated breath for this show to premiere! Kim Min-jae and Park Eun-bin will be taking on their first romantic drama leading roles together. They play a pianist (Min-jae) and a violinist (Eun-bin), who are both students at a classical music school. The show’s sneak peeks have led us to believe their romance is going to be innocently intense. That’s exactly what we need!
