2 Chainz has found himself in some hot water due to the names of his two new Atlanta restaurants – Escobar Restaurant and Tapas, and Escobar Restaurant and Tapas South.

2 Chainz and his business partner Dillard, have been hit with a hefty lawsuit from the family of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar for $10 million all according to court documents obtained by XXL on Thursday (June 18), which were filed on Wednesday (June 17).

The rapper mogul and his business partner are being accused of unauthorized commercial use of the Escobar name, which is said to be in violation as the name is a registered trademark.

Escobar, Inc. is a corporation organized and existing under the laws of Puerto Rico with its primary business in California. The lawsuit brings forth 13 causes of action as a result of 2 Chainz and Dillard promoting their restaurant with a Pablo Escobar theme.

To add insult to injury the lawsuit also includes menu items using the Escobar name like Escobar Crab Cakes, Escobar Breakfast, Escobar Cobb and The Columbian.

The famous drug family dystany wants restitution from the profits already made from the 2 Chainz and Dillard’s two restaurants and to stop using their name and likeness.

If the Escobar family wins this lawsuit this will cost 2 Chainz and his business partner a lot of money and force them to redo both restaurants, definitely more than the $10 million they will have to pay the family.

What do you think? Is it necessary for 2 Chainz to change the names of his restaurants? Let us know what you think!
