We’re all still reflecting on the inexcusable deaths of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery.

“If we are truly in this together then let’s be in this together.”

What more can be said about this, it is disgusting, it is racist, it is hate in its purist form…saying things isn’t enough…action needs to be taken. We watched George Floyd’s murder. We watched his murder. We must all demand justice. We owe this to his family and to our African American Communities. If we are truly all in this together…..then let’s be all in this together. How many more horrific intolerable acts must take place… RIP #AhmaudArbery and thank goodness Christian Cooper was not added to the growing list of victims taken by the other virus infecting our Country. #georgefloyd #restinpower #blacklivesmatter 👈 hopefully this becomes clearer to those who “don’t get it” ⁣Repost from @lenawaithe👇 Rest in Power #GEORGEFLOYD | call Minneapolis Mayor @jacobfrey1 (612)-673-2100 + the DA (612)-348-5550 and demand the prosecution of all officers involved including Derek Chauvin (Badge 1087) and Tou Thao (Badge 7162). ⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀I am editing this post to include a few suggestions on people to follow who are amazing sources of learning given to me by a follower of mine @olaflowenthal. 👉@rachel.cargle @nowhitesaviors @laylafsaad

Well said Danneel, action must be taken. In her post she shares Jacob Fey’s (mayor of Minneapolis) and the DA’s contact info to demand the prosecution of all officers involved, including Derek Chauvin (Badge 1087) and Tou Thao (Badge 7162).

Misha Collins [Castiel] and Samantha Smith [Mary Winchester] shared the same post to their Instagram’s that “Racism is not getting worse, it’s getting filmed.”

“God help us, it certainly isn’t getting better #GeorgeFloyd.”

“I am so heartbroken”

Genevieve Padalecki [Ruby] posted an artwork photo of George Floyd on her Instagram story and directed her fans to a link where you can sign the petition to get justice.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s [John Winchester] wife [Hilarie Burton] shared a post about her lifelong friend and One Tree Hill Co-Star [Sophia Bush], challenging her to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund. Hilarie stressed that it’s time to show up.

“Part of the reason I love @sophiabush so much is because she shows up. She is eager to learn and share. And so today she challenged me to donate to the @mnfreedomfund, and I contribute with humility and respect for those who are risking their entire lives for equality. Show up. Stop acting surprised. Or sending thoughts and prayers. Or making excuses. Show up. Do the work. And instigate change.”

Tomorrow night, my lifelong friend @sophiabush will be a guest on our show #fridaynightinwiththemorgans on @amc_tv . Full disclosure, we filmed the show before the news of #georgefloyd broke. It feels weird to talk about tv shows or funny memories when the real issue on the forefront of everyone’s minds is the senseless murder of an unarmed man. Part of the reason I love @sophiabush so much is because she shows up. She confronts hard conversations. She is eager to learn and share. And so today she challenged me to donate to the @mnfreedomfund , and I contribute with humility and respect for those who are risking their entire lives for equality. In turn, I challenge @sarahwaynecallies @julesyrudd And @danneelackles512 White friends. Show up. Stop acting surprised. Or sending thoughts and prayers. Or making excuses. Show up. Do the work. And instigate change. And if your problem is with looting? Check your American history. The Boston Tea Party is heralded as an act of courage and patriotism. Our entire revolution against tyranny and injustice was one big crime spree! And we celebrate that. I asked my friend @_jasminealise what I can do to be helpful. (That’s something we should all be asking right now.) She recommended I follow @mspackyetti and @rachel.cargle . Great resources for education and how to make change. For the love of God, let us do better. Please contribute and challenge your friends to join in as well. #blacklivesmatter
