I don’t know about you, but in this time of quarantine, I find myself going in and out of feeling like things are “normal again” and then suddenly I am back to sheer panic. Instead of criticizing myself for this, I allow the feelings to exist. I acknowledge my emotions and work effectively towards finding that “better feeling.”

In my power to choose said “better feeling,” I know I’m responsible for the type of media I consume. That’s where the podcast and YouTube channel The Morning Toast came in.

At first, I saw The Morning Toast as a media outlet like many others we have to choose from, but each day I found myself coming back for more. What was it about these two girls that made me feel comfort in this time? I really don’t know. Maybe it was their wit and refreshing energy? Maybe it was the raw, authentic and sometimes controversial talk between sisters, Jackie and Claudia Oshry.  All I know is that it became my new “positive distraction” and in time of isolation, I wanted to keep it coming!

For those of you who don’t have the luxury of listening for yourself because you’re working from home or can’t seem to perfect that last move on the new trending TikTok dance, allow me to fill you in on what you missed. The Morning Toast streams daily Mondays-Fridays and as any pop culture junky can attest to, A LOT can happen in five days.

Here’s what you missed:
→ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially in California (The Messy One: Friday, March 27th, 2020)
→ Ariana Grande has a new “quarantine bae” and yes, that’s a term now (The Sensational Snitch: Thursday, March 26th, 2020)
→ Prince Charles tests positive for Coronavirus and Love Is Blind gets renewed for 2 more seasons (Julie.Julie Corkey: Wednesday, March 25th, 2020)
→ Maren Morris gives birth, Kim K and T Swift speak on leaked video footage and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Have Been Postponed to 2021 (BrokeBack Queens with Dr. Deborah Birx: Tuesday, March 24th, 2020)
→ Andy Cohen and Harvey Weinstein test positive for Coronavirus and Ellen DeGeneres gets blasted by former fans and employees for her ‘mean’ behavior (We’ve Cracked: Monday, March 23rd, 2020)

So in your quest to keep media intake 20% “What’s Happening with COVID19″ and 80% “Feel Good” Material, may I suggest giving these babes a listen?
