Jensen Ackles is an actor, singer, and director. He is best known for portraying the role of Dean Winchester in CW’s Supernatural.

Before Ackles was casted in Supernatural he earned his first big role in soap operas. He played Eric Brady on NBC’s hit drama Days of Our Lives from 1998-2000. Jensen earned several Daytime Emmy Award nominations and won for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.

After leaving Days, Ackles joined the cast of Dawson’s Creek during its final season playing CJ (Jen Lindley’s love interest).

Ackles auditioned for Clark Kent on Smallville but the role was offered to Tom Welling. However, the casting directors must love Ackles because he was cast as a regular for season four portraying the role of Jason Teague (Lana Lang’s newest love interest and the assistant football coach). We can’t blame the crew of Smallville for wanting to hire him even if it was for a different role.

In addition, Ackles played the lead role in the horror film called Devor, where Jensen had the opportunity to work with his dad (Alan Ackles), who is also an actor. I guess the saying is true: the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

In 2005, Ackles got casted in the WB show Supernatural where he stars as Dean Winchester. Dean and his brother Sam [Jared Padalecki] drive through the United States hunting paranormal predators, fighting demons and angels. Bottom line: they fight anything that is evil and goes bump in the night.

Ackles and Padalecki not only play brothers on screen but they are very close in real life. Jensen was even one of Jared’s groomsmen at his wedding when he married actress Genevieve Cortese. These two are the definition of bromance and are always playing pranks with each other when they are on set.

While filming the hit series, Ackles continued to book roles in films including; Ten Inch Hero (where he met Danneel Harris Ackles, his wife and mother of his three children), the horror remake film My Bloody Valentine 3D, and Batman: Under The Red Hood.

In 2010, Jensen and Danneel got married after dating for
three years. They are still going strong to this day and always share photos on his social media about the adventures they are taking together.

“Never let @danneelackles512 suggest “sharing” a shaved ice. Ain’t gonna happen. Ah well, Happy Saturday friends”

Another adventure they are taking together is starting a family. In 2013, they had their first child, Justice Jay, a.k.a. “JJ”.

Ackles posted a cute picture of his little girl on her 5th birthday.

“Happy 5th birthday to my J-bird. I will be submitting my official request, that it stops here. No more growing up. That’s it. I’m not sure my heart can take it.”

Well our hearts can’t take how cute she is! Jensen and Danneel must be proud parents.

Over the last few years, Ackles has turned into the family man. In 2016, Danneel and Ackles welcomed twins (boy and girl) into their family. The proud dad couldn’t wait to show them off on Instagram showing us what he does when he is not on set.

Jensen you are #dadoftheyear and Danneel agrees sharing a sweet picture on Father’s Day of her husband reading to their kids.

“Happy Fathers Day to our Daddy @jensenackles. He got up early with these guys and was doing this when I walked in. He is the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful daddy in the whole world.”

Aww Danneel you and Jensen are lucky to have each other.

But don’t worry,  Supernatural fans!  Even though Jensen is an amazing family guy he also puts his fans first and so does his wife. Danneel made her debut in season 13 playing the role of Sister Jo. Jensen showed his support by posting a picture of his wife.

“Oh, wow…I know that look. Somebody’s about to get lit up! But damn she looks good.”

Yes Jensen, your wife slayed playing Sister Jo and we now know who holds your household together. Danneel did such a great job she is making an appearance during the 15th season…spoiler alert!

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Ackles talks about how grateful he is for his fans. Especially when he and Padalecki attended the Supernatural conventions at Comic Con.

“We may have not won a lot of awards we may not have things covering our mantles of accolades the show has brought us through the years but walking out on that stage and hearing nearly 7,000 people applaud us that was..that was about as big of an award that we could have ever won.”

Jensen, you might have not won many awards, but all Supernatural fans including us can agree that all of the cast and crew members of the series will win the award for showing the most dedication to their fans. That’s why Supernatural has been on for 15 years, making it the longest running North American sci-fi series in history.

Unfortunately, the series will be wrapping up its final season in the next two months. Ackles and Padalecki sat down with Entertainment Tonight’s host Matt Cohen (who played the younger version of their on screen dad, John Winchester) in an exclusive interview about the show’s final season.

“This is the last season yeah I know that on the outside but for me I’m trying to block whatever emotional rabbit hole that might take me down and just stay focused on doing the best job that I can.” Ackles states,“It’s hard to think about right now.”

Trust us, Jensen, this is hard for us as well. When Access Hollywood asked Ackles what his favorite memory on set was; one word came to mind and that was twins.

“My twins were about to be born and I was on set 2,000 miles away and needed to catch a plan so it was a mad rush to get me out and I do remember… I don’t know if this is a favorite memory but it’s certainly a massive memory.”

Ackles being the family man he is, being nervous was an understatement.

“I was going pale. I was like I gotta get out of here the plane is going to leave and we got this one shot and our directors were trying to shoot me out as fast as they can and he comes up to me and he’s like ‘hey, man, you all ready to go? is there anything you need? Anything I can do to help?’ I’m like ‘no no man I think I got everything packed and I’m ready to go.’”

Of course things aren’t always that simple when a big event is about to occur. Even for celebrities.

“He was like, ‘ok you got your passport’ and I was like ‘what kind of question is that? Of course I have my passport.’  I went into my trailer and…not there. I’m like ‘ok, he took it, he is playing a prank on me.’ it’s not unlike him to do this when stress is this high. I went over there and I’m like ‘very funny.’ I’m going to need it back and he’s like ‘I don’t have it..’ not one of my favorite memories…but certainly one of my biggest.”

No need to panic! Jensen was able to make it to the hospital on time to see these two cuties born. Way to go dad!

When hinting around on how Supernatural is going to end. Jensen didn’t leave us with many clues when speaking with Access Hollywood about the final episode.

“I’m going to tell you this…when I got pitched the ending, it took me two weeks to come to terms with it.”

Oh come on, Jensen.  You have to give us more details than that!

It looks like we all need to tune in for the finale to see how this iconic series ends.

Access Hollywood asked Ackles what message he would like to leave for his fans who have been with him since the beginning.

“Nothing ever stays dead in Supernatural”

Not to get our hopes up, but that sounds like there could be a possible reboot down the line? If so, we are the first ones to support this.

Even though Supernatural is ending, Jensen is still keeping busy. He opened a brewing business (The Family Business Beer CO) with his wife Danneel, located in Texas.

He is also pursuing his music career after years performing at Supernatural conventions. Is there anything this man can’t do?

Ackles released his first single, Sounds of Someday, in 2018.

Last year, he collaborated with musician Steve Carlson to form Radio Company. Their single was released on iTunes and their first album was set to be released November 2019.

Today, it looks like Ackles is still keeping up with his music. Just recently, he posted a video of him and his daughter JJ singing together while they are on lockdown due to the coronavirus.

“Crowded table – Keepin our spirits up while we’re on lockdown. Singin songs and playin games. Stay positive out there.”

Glad you and your family are safe and healthy! But speaking of games, Danneel posted on Instagram Jensen and JJ playing Battleship together while they are staying at home and well.. it looks like Jensen isn’t doing that good.

It’s ok Jensen… well just have you stick to fighting demons on set.

You will always be our Dean Winchester.
