Netflix’s Good Sam isn’t done doing good deeds. That is, if Tiya Sircar gets what she wants.
Sircar stars in the movie, which showcases the good in humanity and one man helping others by gifting them a large sum of money.
Sircar came on Popcorn Talk Network’s I Could Never Be show, hosted by Michael Clouse, and shared another movie is what the cast is hoping for.
“I sure hope so. I mean, there is a series of books, actually. So there is a book, a, you know, Good Sam is based on a, a book by the same name, by, um, the author, Dete Meserve,” said Sircar, “and then there’s a second book in the series called, Perfectly Good Crime, um, which, you know, if someone wanted to make into a movie, I would happily do so.”
That book carries on where Good Sam ends.
Even when the movie was wrapping up production, the cast and crew didn’t know how to say goodbye to each other, remaining optimistic about returning.
“Like school where you’re like, ‘ok, well I’ll see you next year?’ But like, you’re not sure so you’re like, ‘maybe we’ll see each other next year?’ Yeah, so, um, anyway, knock on wood, knock on wood,” said Sircar. “Hopefully, um, we will make another one. That would be great.”
Netflix hasn’t commented on a possible sequel to Good Sam, which was just released in May.
