In March 2014, Dalton revealed that he had left IM5.

Smithfield Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s The Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Whitney Lane interviews Smithfield.

ABOUT SMITHFIELD:

SmithField was founded in 2011 with a dream as big as their home state of Texas. Comprised of vocalists Trey and Jennifer, SmithField took the stage by storm with their memorable music and stunning harmonies. Having grown up together, their on-stage chemistry is undeniably genuine and natural. After more than a year of performing together, the duo headed to Nashville to start a new chapter in their musical career.

Country duos are a unique breed in the music industry. Two voices have to blend perfectly together, and that combination is often hard to find, even in two great singers. Against all odds, the duo has continued to persevere with their music and develop their sound, and found that with a lot hard work and passion that anything can be accomplished. After one year in Nashville industry executives began to take notice and SmithField began to open for established artists including Eric Paslay, Scotty McCreery, Jana Kramer, Dustin Lynch, Brothers Osborne and Craig Campbell.

Mixing the heavily rock influenced background of Trey and the classical country tendency of Jennifer, SmithField creates a contemporary country sound that’s different and compelling. SmithField’s sophomore single “Hey Whiskey” made its video world premiere on CMT this fall and is currently on SiriusXM The Highway, Spotify and iTunes.

Symon Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Lauren LoGrasso interviews Symon.

ABOUT SYMON:

Symon, it-girl on the rise, is making waves in the music industry with her left-of-center approach to pop music. She kicked off 2017 with a brand new single “No Way (I’m F**king You),” giving a voice to females who call the shots and are in charge of their own bodies. This past summer, her hype song “Say” was heard across a slew of radio stations including Sirius XM Hits 1, Venus, iHeart Radio and Radio Disney, where it was well-received by listeners and music critics alike. Influenced by a range of pop revolutionaries, including Madonna, Gwen Stefani, and Rihanna, Symon’s music does not have one singular lane, but rather evolves with each story she tells in her songs. Combining a bit of pop, R&B, and house, Symon is here to break the boundaries and push the limits of self-expression, bringing a fresh, raw, and honest perspective back to the airwaves.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Symon has always been surrounded by creativity. She has been singing, writing, and performing since her early teenage years, determined to carve out her own path in the entertainment industry. Symon began her professional music career as the lead singer of a pop/rock band trio called The New Officials, that went on to collaborate with industry legend David Foster and tour as the opening act for global superstar Demi Lovato. Shortly after their stint on the road, she parted ways with her band mates, knowing that a solo career was truly what she wanted to pursue. Around that time, she met industry veteran Steven Zap and his business partner, multi-platinum songwriter/producer Gino “Farrago” Barletta, who both saw her potential and took interest in developing her as a solo act. Symon became the second official signing to their company Artbeatz, the indie label known for breaking the career of budding pop star Daya.

As 2017 commences, Symon is staying hard at work with her Executive Producer Gino “Farrago” Barletta, crafting her debut album that she says “will speak to everyone on a whole new level”. Collaborating with some of the industry’s most exciting new up-and-coming songwriters and producers, she aims to create music that will not only represent her generation, but also those that have come before and will come after her. “Art isn’t about playing it safe, so I’m not going to. I want to challenge the world’s perception of a pop star and always keep people guessing.” So, if you’re wondering what to expect to come next from this fearless ingénue, you’ll just have to stay tuned…

The Magnettes Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Lauren LoGrasso interviews The Magnettes.

ABOUT THE MAGNETTES:

Pop music remains one of Sweden’s chief cultural exports. However, quite far from the Stockholm of Max Martin and Icona Pop—a little over ten hours to be exact—the tiny town of Pajala sits just miles from the border of Finland. The Magnettes fondly call this city of 2,000 home, and it’s the birthplace of their infectious and inimitable glitter (punk) pop sound. The group’s co-vocalists Rebecka Digervall and Sanna Kalla proudly refer to themselves as “non-normative and in control,” “Riot Grrls,” “goths,” “witches,” “Tornedalingar” [literal translation: natives of the Torne valley, a Swedish minority], or “Sisters Of The Ugly Youth.” However, that subversion makes their songs even more spellbinding.

“We’re reclaiming the word ‘Ugly,’” declares Sanna. “Why does beautiful have to be the standard? Why can’t anything that is not totally perfect be cool? We have no regrets. We’re saying exactly what we want to say.

“There’s some sort of Northern rebellion,” adds guitarist, keyboardist, and producer Tomas Bäcklund. “We don’t want to be your average singing self-obsessed diary entries. We aim to do something bigger. However, we want to do it without moving to Stock-holm, London, or L.A. and writing songs about beaches and being super fit. Because what’s interesting about that?
The seeds of that rebellion became planted when Rebecka and Sanna met at six-years-old. By the age of 14, Rebecka had written a plethora of song for them as a duo. In 2012, they released their first official tune “Paper Cut” and performed across Europe and Russia. By 2014, the group expanded to include to have more musicians on stage.

The group headed stateside spring 2015 to perform a string off head-turning shows at SXSW (where they had the official last gig at legendary Stubbs) and write songs in Nashville. “Something happened in Nashville,” says Rebecka. “We were just like, ‘Yeah, it’s time to be fearless and write whatever the fuck we want.’ So we went home and did that!”
Galvanized by the trip, the band began recording in Tomas’s kitchen, carving out a middle ground between their chief influences Talking Heads, Costello, Bikini Kill, and Katy Perry.

Back in Sweden in Sweden The Magnettes also appeard as the main subjects in Hans-Erik Therus’s documentary ”Pajala State Of Mind”, featured at the Gothenburg Film Festival, the Tempo Documentary Festival Stockholm  and on Swedish national television..

They returned to USA in autumn of 2015. But before that they played a couple of festivals in Sweden and enede on the showcase festioval Live at HeartLive at Heart. Then they went to Barcelona to play during Future Music Forum and head to London for a showcase. The autumn USA tour took them to Los Angeles, San Diego and San Fransisco. They also went on Key Largo Songfest in Key Largo, Florida and the tour ended in NYC and shows on the showcase festival CMJ.

During CMJ it went official that the band signed with the american record label Digsin and the first relese was ”Bones” on their new label.

The Magnettes is developed and supported by BD pop.

Kenneth Brian Band Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Christian Bladt interviewes the Kenneth Brian Band.

ABOUT KENNETH BRIAN BAND:

Since their first album release in 2009, the Kenneth Brian Band’s modern Southern Rock and Americana infused style, timeless song-craft, layered with Kenneth’s gritty vocals and guitar prowess have helped earn them a loyal fan following and the respect of fellow musicians. The quartet’s musical styling and dynamic live performances also attracted the attention of some of their mentors like Lucinda Williams, Billy Gibbons and current bandmate Steve Ferrone of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Since 2013, they spent two years touring with multi-Grammy winner Lucinda Williams, who describes them as “somewhere between Lynyrd Skynyrd and Drive-By Truckers”, before joining ZZ Top in 2016 for several dates. Whether in intimate Honky Tonks or stately, sold-out theaters (with Lucinda), they continue to captivate audiences with resonating harmonies and a tight rhythm section.

Their fourth studio album ‘With Lions,’ out May 19th, includes 11 songs all written by Kenneth and pays tribute to their musical mentors as well as their musically rich and culturally significant Southern heritage. The single “You’re Not Mine” is an edgy anthem with heavy-hitting guitar solos and their signature harmonies. “Beautiful Storm” is an emotionally evocative track that showcases Kenneth’s spell-binding competency with a slide.

Rock ‘n’ roll royalty Steve Ferrone (Drums, Tambourine, Shakers) and Scott Thurston (Keyboards, Piano) of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers don’t just lend their talents for the album but, Ferrone sits behind the drum kit when he’s not touring with Tom Petty. Travis and Steve met a couple of years ago at a gathering thrown by a mutual pal. Not long after, they needed a drummer for a Hollywood gig and Steve sat in with the band. He worked with the guys to hone their sound and helped them find the right players. And as they say, the rest is history. Handpicked by Steve, drummer Chris Cano plays with KBB when Ferrone is on the road with the Heartbreakers. Popular session bass guitarist and Disresputable Few member, Paul Ill, joined the band at Steve’s urging and perfectly rounded out the Kenneth Brian Band sound. “Those two were the perfect combination for what we do,” said Kenneth Brian. “Their influence has helped elevate our playing and just being around Steve is a master class on how to be a successful artist and a decent human being,” he continued. In true KBB form, the sound of the new album honors their distinctive blend of Southern Rock that is both progressive and rooted in tradition.

While they both currently reside in Los Angeles, they hail from the South. Kenneth was born in Virginia but spent most of his formative years in Alabama before his family settled in a small town just north of Gainesville, Florida. Travis was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia and spent summers with his dad in Nashville. From a very young age, they realized their passion for creating music and have pursued it with vigor. Travis started on the piano and Kenneth penned his first country song on an old guitar at the ripe age of 4.

After moving to Nashville in 2001, founding members Kenneth Brian (Lead Vocal, Lead Guitar) and Travis Stephens (Harmony Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Piano) met while playing the local scene and struck up a fast friendship, which led to a creative collaboration in 2009. Travis describes the camaraderie that comes from being part of this band. “We both understand the underlying spiritual groove that we are forever trying to stay dialed into for ourselves and our fans. And that comes before egos or opinions,” he said.

‘With Lions,’ out May 19, 2017 on Robo Records, was recorded at Dave’s Room Studio in Hollywood, California. David Bianco (Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, Tom Petty) produced, mixed and engineered the album. It was mastered at legendary Capitol Studios in Hollywood, California by mastering engineer Kevin Bartley.

Terry Ilous Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Christian Bladt interviewes Terry Ilous.

ABOUT TERRY ILOUS:

Vocalist for Great White, solo artist, and founding member of band XYZ.

Terry_Ilous_Great_White_2011_Pasco_WA_Distorted_Lens_Photography In 1986 Terry Ilous moved to Hollywood and formed the metal band XYZ along with friend and bassist Pat Fontaine. XYZ released their debut self-titled album [produced by Don Dokken] in 1989 on Enigma Records; followed by the 1991 Capital release “Hungry” and “Take What You Want Live” in 1995. The band quickly gained attention selling over 1.5 million records world wide and played with artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, and Alice Cooper. Unfazed by changes in line-up and nearly a decade hiatus; XYZ consistently released albums over the following years with “Letter to God” in 2003, “Forbidden Demos” in 2005, and “The Best of XYZ” in 2008.

In 2007 Terry released his solo album “Here and Gone” performing the single “Got to Believe” live on the 43rd annual Jerry Lewis Telethon. Apart from singing live Terry’s had a busy career writing music for and alongside well known artists, appearing in cameos on the daytime soap “Passions”; and recording voice overs for an impressive list of companies such as Levis, Wrigley, Asahi, Toyota, WWE, Dr. Pepper, eBay, Columbia Picture’s “Stuart Little 2”, and Paramount’s “Rug Rats in Paris”.

Never one to sit idle, Terry’s been heavily involved in charity work over the years. He’s organized concerts like “80s Rockers for Japan” to aid victims of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami ,and appears at “Rockers 4 Xmas”, a yearly concert to raise funds for those in need over the holiday season. As rare as his free time is Terry donates as much of it as he is able flying to charity gigs, and co-writing / co-producing the charity single “One Family” [under the moniker United Rockers 4U]; which included an all star cast consisting of members from Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Toto,L.A.Guns, Survivor, Poison, Lita Ford, and Eddie Money.

129

In 2009 Terry was contacted to play a handful of dates
with multi-platinum recording artists, and 80’s & 90’s rock icons, Great White. Still going strong after 30 years and one of the few bands of the era to still be consistently playing throughout the U.S and Europe; Great White made the line up change official in 2011 and immediately headed out on an extensive year long tour…

In 2012 Great White headed into the studio and released the album “Elation”, quickly followed by the live album “30 Years: Live from the Sunset Strip”. The positive response from fans and press alike was overwhelming; with 3 video releases, and the song “Hard to Say Goodbye” reaching number 8 on Billboards Classic Rock Radio Charts. Despite the state of the music industry and lack of air play for established bands Great White continues to tour with an average 60 shows a year alongside rock legends such as Vince Neil [Motley Crue], Quiet Riot, Queensryche, Twisted Sister, Ratt, Lita Ford, Stryper, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Dennis De Young [of Styx], Skid Row, Warrant, Slaughter, and many others.

Currently Terry Ilous is on extensive tour with Great White across the U.S; playing everywhere from large arenas, state fairs, casinos, summer rock festivals, to intimate nightclub acoustic shows. Whether it’s touring with Great White, playing with XYZ, voiceovers, writing music, or playing a charity concert, one thing is for sure; Terry Ilous is an unstoppable force in the music industry with a powerful voice, a genuine love for his fans and no plans of slowing down anytime soon!

Jordi Whitworth Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Lauren LoGrasso interviewes Jordi Whitworth.

ABOUT JORDI WENTWORTH:

Jordi Whitworth is bona fide triple threat musician, actor, and model positioned to take the Entertainment Industry by storm. While he is best known for his previous role in Overload, the British Boyband and 2014 X-Factor finalists; after nearly two years as part of the band, Jordi is set to begin the next chapter in his career as a solo artist with the release of his debut single, Mambo.

Born in 1995, Jordi was raised in Canvey Island, Essex, United Kingdom with his parents, brother, and sister. While his family was never drawn to a career in entertainment themselves, Jordi remains close to his family, and credits their support as his motivation to pursue his dreams. Being a strong-minded individual set on pushing his personal limits, he set out on creating his own path in the Entertainment Industry.

Prior to beginning his journey in music and his involvement with Overload, he had just finished school and was keen to pursue a career in television as an actor. Realizing he needed to get a crash course and feel for the Industry, he decided to join a recognized London-based agency, Ray Knight. While with Ray Knight, Jordi booked regular placements in hit British television shows such as: Holby City, EastEnders, Law and Order, and high profile commercials for EA Sports. Jordi’s acting career was picking up momentum and he booked a role on the BBC One series, Big School, along side Catherine Tate and David Walliams, when he was approached to join the boyband, Overload.

Before being approached to join Overload, Jordi never really considered music for a professional career path, but after being involved with the band, being introduced to names in the Industry, and learning how everything is created, he realized he loved music and this is something he wanted to do with his life. During his time with Overload, he feels lucky enough to have accomplished many things he never thought he would in his lifetime. Some of those highlights include performing at a sold out Wembley Arena of over 24,000 in attendence along side some of the biggest artists in the UK as well as performing live on primetime television through the X Factor.

Jordi recalls some of his best moments with Overload to include their time as X Factor UK finalists in 2014. Personally his time on the X Factor was an all round incredible learning experience, and getting called a Stud Muffin from Cheryl is something he will never forget.  Being able to talk to the judges and learn from some of the most successful people in the Music Industry is not something he takes lightly. One of the most difficult moments was during Boot Camp, when Overload got eliminated from their chair, Jordi grabbed a mic and demanded a sing-off causing chaos in the arena, but all because he wanted to fight for their position in the competition and prove they belonged. The X Factor was something he never expected would happen in his life, but he is forever grateful for the experience.

While the band ultimately broke up after X Factor, Jordi still credits the band as one of the best experiences of his life, and something he will never forget. Even when times were challenging with the band, it was these experiences that taught Jordi about the Music Industry and made him the artist he is today.

After leaving Overload, Jordi managed to host his own 30-minute slot on the British music channel, Chart Show TV, in which it was repeated throughout the month. It was during this time when he was working on new music in the studio that he was approached by numerous clothing companies to model and promote their brands, where he became the face of the clothing company Zero Seven, appeared on “The Only Way is Essex,” and was part of the CBBC Friday Download for the Soccer Six event.

Up next, Jordi will be releasing his debut single, Mambo, as a solo artist. Mambo will be the first time his fans hear Jordi as an independent artist, and he is looking forward to connecting with his fans in this new way because many of these fans have followed his journey as an artist over the past few years. While it is still early to define his sound, he draws influence from a variety of artists, including: Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, The Weekend, and Justin Bieber. He admires these artists because they represent a different sound in the industry, an element of distinct uniqueness, something he would like to accomplish during his career. Jordi enjoys a song that switches up halfway through to something unexpected, like Cody Simpson’s Surfboard or Chris Brown’s X, and it is something fans may expect in Jordi’s upcoming music.

Jordi’s goal as an artist is to inspire people that think being normal is all they will ever be, when really anything is possible, and he is a glowing example of that sentiment. At the end of the day, Jordi wants his fans, friends, and family to be happy; he wants to look back on his life and agree with the decisions he has made and not regret anything.

Apart from his passions in music, acting, and modeling, Jordi enjoys racing Motocross. Prior to pursuing entertainment in a professional capacity, Jordi raced Motocross at a high level all over the country.  When he is not working on new music or spending time with his family, Jordi can often be found in the gym. He loves to stay active and as with all aspects of his life, Jordi wants to continue to challenge himself and push his personal limits.

In addition to following his dreams and inspiring his fans, Jordi devotes his time and support to a charity very near and dear to his heart, called The Indee Rose Trust. The Indee Rose Trust is aimed to help children and their families who have been diagnosed with a brain or spinal tumour. The organization all started with a little girl called Indee Rose, who was a close friend of Jordi’s niece. They attended school together and became close to the family, but unfortunately Indee passed away from a brain tumor.  Indee’s parents used this tragedy to start a charity in her honor to help others suffering from the same condition, and Jordi has been involved ever since.

Jordi currently resides in Essex, United Kingdom.

Maisy Kay Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Frank Moran interviews Maisy Kay.

ABOUT MAISY KAY :

Ask avant-pop singer Maisy Kay to single-out her music idol, and she’ll immediately name-check Freddie Mercury, that glam-rock icon with an unabashed love of cabaret. But ask her whom she’s dreamed of sounding like, and she’ll just as promptly reference softer, torch-ballad legends Whitney Houston and Celine Dion.

Those two influences may seem antithetical, and that’s kind of the beguiling appeal of Maisy Kay—an iron-lunged ingenue whose voice effuses theatricality at some moments (her achingly cathartic debut single, “Enough”) and tenderness during others (the nightingale’d, optimistic-pop of “I Look to You”). “I used to think I had to be confined to one particular thing,” she says. “But that’s not really who I am, in any aspect. I love variety. I love changing things up.”

That dexterity in singing and songwriting has served her well. In less than five years, Maisy Kay has gone from a kid harboring starry dreams in Claverley (a hamlet in the English countryside) to a buzzy talent poised to break out in Los Angeles. As fate would have it, she has been working on the bulk of her debut album with Stuart Brawley, the producer/engineer behind Dion’s Let’s Talk About Love. “At first, I didn’t know where I wanted to go with my voice or style. Stuart really helped bring out the beltier side of me,” she says.

Her first recordings can be traced back, rather sweetly, to her mom’s home recordings. “I was trying to sing ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep, and it was a bunch of made-up words,” she explains. From there, Maisy graduated to crooning Disney tunes to anyone (or -thing) that would listen. “I was always singing,” she explains. “That song from Mulan, ‘Reflections’? I would dress up in my outfit and sing it to my dogs!” If that weren’t compelling enough proof that she was fated to become a musician, she fully envisioned her destiny during a family trip to London, when her parents took her to see The Phantom of the Opera. Blown away by the performances, she knew in her gut that she would do that, too. After that, she says, “I actually took musical-theater vocal lessons.”

A self-taught pianist, Maisy wrote her first song—well, technically a whole play—at age 10. “It was about a dragon. And a girl coming on a pirate ship to this new island,” she recalls, laughing. The play was performed by Maisy and her schoolmates to an audience of proud parents. “I couldn’t really imagine singing something that I hadn’t written,” she explains. To this day, Maisy eschews the pop world’s tendency to recruit an arsenal of songwriters and only performs her own compositions. Many of them are penned daily around 3 a.m., her overactive mind waking her from slumber, willing her to write.

“I normally do lyrics first,” she says. “And ‘Volcano’ is one of the most emotional pieces I’ve ever written.” The love-tortured track makes spectacular use of her vocal range, a bittersweet triumph that proved so emotional she actually cried while working on with Brawley. Another cut, “Blood Filled Tears,” explores even darker places—in this case, a friend’s suicide—through a powerfully lilting lament.

Maisy, who’s written more than 50 songs in her adult life, has spent the past three years bringing many of those tracks to life with a roll call of A-list producers. Among them: Brawley, Captain Cuts (Elle Goulding), Adam Argyle and Martin Brammer (Olly Murs), Jason Gaviati and Justin Siegel (Cassadee Pope, Black Eyed Peas), Kenny Harris (Panic! At the Disco), and Sameer Bhattacharya (Flyleaf). Enthuses Maisy, “Working with someone who’s more on the poppy side and then with someone who’s more on the classical side? I love that!”

With the exception of “Chemical Reaction,” a soaring anthem to unwanted attraction, production flairs are deliberately dimmed to a minimum throughout her work. Each producer has essentially reached the same conclusion upon first hearing her sing: Her shimmering, mezzo-soprano vocals, paired with intimate, pervasive confessionals are what make her the rarest of unicorns in the pop world. Maisy realizes this, too. “It’s so important to have a personal connection to all of it,” she says. “Every song is a journey.”

Alexandria Corn Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode hosts Lauren LoGrasso interviews Alexandria Corn.

ABOUT ALEXANDRIA CORN:

Alexandria Corn, 23 was born on May 16, 1993, in Upstate New York.

For as long as she can remember, she has been passionate about music. At five, Alexandria started to develop an ear for it – she enjoyed singing and dancing around the kitchen to classic rock with her mother.

Growing up, Alexandria had a growing desire to cultivate her skills. She not only wanted to share her talents within her town, but the world. This desire began to come to fruition when she was 14, where for the first time, she found herself in a recording studio with Bobby Acquaviva of Utica, NY, recording Fergie’s hit song, “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” Later, she performed the song at a talent show – she loved the adrenaline rush of performing and let the music completely take her away; she quickly learned that the stage is where she belonged.

Alexandria started taking her singing career more seriously and soon thereafter, began taking vocal lessons with industry experienced coaches – one of which was Nicole Pryor, a recent cast member of The Phantom of the Opera at The Venetian Casino in Las Vegas. At 15 years old, Pryor gave Alexandria the opportunity to study across the country, where she got the chance to perform around Las Vegas with a band called, “The High Rollers”.

As soon as Alexandria turned 16, she jumped for the chance to audition for the hit TV show, American Idol, and didn’t let anything get in the way of a once-in-a-lifetime audition. She and her mother flew from Las Vegas to New Jersey and waited in line for 18 hours – which was all worth it when she was handed a golden ticket by the judges. She was continued onto 3 further rounds, however, her journey with the show ended right before the televised Hollywood round. But the journey doesn’t stop here – Shortly after, Alexandria was immediately offered a spot in Himmelstein’s Pop Academy in Hollywood, CA. Here she spent two unforgettable weeks with the industry’s lead decision makers and professionals in vocal technique, stage performance, dance, and song writing. In the end, she wrote and recorded her first original song with Andrew Lane, a pop//R&B record producer and songwriter.

Alexandria also focuses on musical theater, taking vocal lessons and theatre with Alicia Loomis. She starred in productions of “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, “Footloose”, “A Chorus Line”, “AIDA” and many more. She graduated with a Theater Studies Minor at Ithaca College, a leading school in the performance arts.

More recently, Alexandria got the opportunity to travel to Nashville attending the CMA awards. There she met Jillian Farrar (Publisher/Writer). Alexandria and Jillian hit it off immediately and started writing. Together, they wrote Alexandria’s’ newest single “Say It Again” along with writer, A. Helms.

Now living in Los Angeles, CA, Alexandria is focusing on her music career, recording her EP and will be releasing her new music summer 2016.

Tenelle Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s The Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring musicians, singers and songwriters, discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Rheina Ale interviews Tenelle.

ABOUT TENELLE:
One of the most promising female stars in the island reggae community is Tenelle, out of California.

Tenelle Christine Luafalemana has been tagged with the description “a breath of fresh air”. During Tenelle’s live performances, the smile she displays on stage captivates the crowd, while her soulful lyrics captivates listeners.

Growing up in Carson, CA, Tenelle formed her own sound, gathering the best attributes from some of her idols like Lauryn Hill, Betty Wright, and Gwen Stefani of No Doubt. After taking gentle care of her musical craft, it didn’t take long for Tenelle to burst onto the reggae scene with her breakthrough hit, “Flava”.

Nearly upon the release of “Flava”, the single rose to the top of the iTunes singles chart, reaching the #1 spot. The draw for Tenelle to perform was no longer just locally in California, but throughout the islands of Hawai’i, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and beyond.

Tenelle began sharing the stage with many high profile headlining acts in the reggae genre, such as Fiji, Common Kings, Sammy J, Spawnbreezie, and Drew Deezy. With those tours have grown into collaborative tracks for some of Tenelle’s most recent singles.

Nearly a year ago, Tenelle and Spawnbreezie linked up on their 2015 hit single, “Going Nowhere”, which remained as one of the most requested songs on Hawaiian reggae radio stations throughout the calendar year. Tenelle then capitalized on the airplay success with international tour dates, including a nationwide tour in support of the Common Kings and her first headlining shows in Australia, New Zealand, and Hawai’i.

Tenelle followed up a very successful 2016, and opened the new year, releasing multiple new singles with Fiji and Sammy J. This past January, Tenelle and Fiji collaborated on “Ride or Die”, which was followed by “Say That You Love Me”, the duet by Sammy J and Tenelle.

Currently, Tenelle is in the process of finalizing her debut, full-length album release. The recording sessions have been produced by Benny Briggs and Noah Cronin, taking place in Southern California and O’ahu, respectively.

If the success of Tenelle’s first singles are any indication, the release of her full-length album will follow suit and launch itself to the top of the charts in a matter of moments.

Tenelle states, “If my singing makes you smile, and a smile can change the world…I want to make the world smile”.

Harvey Mason Jr. Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s The Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring musicians, singers and songwriters, discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Lauren LoGrasso interviews Harvey Mason Jr..

ABOUT HARVEY MASON JR.:

For the past twenty years, Harvey Mason Jr. has not only penned and produced songs for both industry legends and today’s superstars including Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown, but he has been instrumental in producing music for many of the biggest musical films and television shows of the past decade. Everyone from Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls, Whitney Houston in Sparkle, to the eclectic cast in Pitch Perfect, and Mary J. Blige and Neyo in The Wiz Live! have called on Harvey to deliver music of the highest standards for blockbuster musical productions.

Harvey was born in Boston, Massachusetts where his parents attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Harvey’s father, Harvey Mason, Sr., is a noted jazz drummer and founding member of the group, Fourplay. Mason Jr. grew up in Los Angeles where he tagged along to his father’s recording sessions with the likes of Quincy Jones, Carole King, The Brothers Johnson and Herbie Hancock. Harvey wrote his first song, “Love Makes It Better” for Grover Washington, Jr. at the age of eight. Besides being a gifted musician, Harvey was also a gifted athlete and attended the University of Arizona on a basketball scholarship and played in the 1988 Final Four with teammates Sean Elliott and Steve Kerr.

Harvey’s first success came when he wrote the song “Truthfully” for Brandy’s 1998 release Never Say Never. He then joined forces with Rodney Jerkins’, Darkchild Entertainment, and continued to write and produce hits for the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Destiny’s Child, Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. In 2000, Mason Jr. formed the production company, The Underdogs, whose first hit was Tyrese’s “I Like Them Girls”. They continued to top the R&B charts with hits for B2K, Marques Houston, Ruben Studdard, Joe, Avant, and Omarion. Harvey topped the charts in 2009 with the number one hit, “No Air” with Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown and again in 2012 with Chris Brown’s “Turn Up The Music”.

In 2006, Harvey produced the soundtrack for the movie musical Dreamgirls. His work on Dreamgirls was the first to produce three Oscar-nominated songs from the same film in the same year. In 2008, Harvey Mason Media produced the major motion picture More Than A Game documenting the incredible journey of LeBron James’ high school basketball team. The movie garnered a second place People’s Choice Award at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival behind the film Slumdog Millionaire. Harvey also composed the score to the film and served as executive producer on the soundtrack Music Inspired By More Than A Game released on his label Mason Music through Interscope Records. In 2012, Harvey was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for the song “The Living Proof” with Mary J. Blige featured in the movie The Help. Sadly, he was the last producer to work with Whitney Houston when he produced the songs “His Eye On The Sparrow” and “Celebrate” for the movie Sparkle. Later in 2012, Harvey produced all of the a cappella vocal performances for the hit film Pitch Perfect featuring Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick. In 2014, he produced the music for Get On Up, the film about the life and music of the legendary James Brown. Harvey again joined with the cast of Pitch Perfect with the addition of Hailey Steinfeld to produce new a cappella hits for the movie’s 2015 sequel. In the summer of 2015, Harvey arranged and produced all the legendary NWA music for the theatrical release of Straight Outta Compton. Most recently, he wrote and produced music for the top rated NBC broadcast of The Wiz Live!. Currently, Harvey is in production on music for the animated film Sing from the creators of Despicable Me and Minions to be released later in 2016.

Harvey proudly serves on the National Board of Trustees for the Recording Academy and serves as co-chair of the Producers and Engineers Wing and the Advocacy Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for his Alma mater, the University of Arizona. Harvey donates his time and resources to several charitable organizations including GRAMMY in the Schools, MusicCares Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, the American Cancer Society, and Los Angeles Children’s Hospital. Janelle Kroll Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Lauren LoGrasso interviews the Janelle Kroll.

ABOUT JANELLE KROLL:

When serendipity and opportunity collide, there’s only one thing to say. Singer and songwriter Janelle Kroll realized the appropriate response upon relocating to New York from her native Chicago in 2013. “Life is so unpredictable and erratic that you just need to show up, be prepared, and say, ‘Yes,’” she explains. “I like to get out of my element, challenge myself, and show up somewhere nobody needs me to be. That’s where I’ve been able to make a mark.”

Thus far, she’s continually delivered when these moments present themselves. In 2014, she went from singing lead vox on tour with Big Data to penning songs for Estelle by subscribing to that philosophy. However, she formally introduced her soulful pop with the bright harmonies and nocturnal R&B of 2015’s independently released “Sunny Days.”

Spotify chose the track for its coveted New Music Tuesday Playlist. It went Top 10 on the hub’s U.S. Viral Chart and Top 15 on the Global Viral Chart, and amidst the flurry of the release was invited to play Lollapalooza 2015. The track serves as a fitting gateway into her sultry and sensual delivery and towering dynamics.

“The song feels universal, but it’s also highly personal at the same time,” she shares. “You want to stop thinking about that person who’s under your skin. The best case scenario would be that it works out and you get through to them, but you know you just need to move on. In my music I’m most interested in exposing dualities, tension points, from which I can dive in. And from there all I can do is be as honest as possible.”

“Sunny Days” heralds the release of her debut EP, Outsider, which is set to release in September 2016. Throughout, she strikes a delicate balance between pop brightness and electronic R&B dusk. Her airy take on Joni Mitchell’s “Down To You (My Confidante)” clearly illustrates that push-and-pull.

Everything springs from a singular style that veers left from indie music’s typical posturing. She coyly dubs her sound “dependent music.”

Diana DeMuth Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Lauren LoGrasso interviews Diana DeMuth.

ABOUT THE DIANA DEMUTH BAND:

Diana DeMuth is a driven 22-year-old singer/songwriter from Concord, Massachusetts who is ready to leave her mark on the music industry. DeMuth is a storyteller whose thoughtful lyrics create endearing and compelling narratives that she brings to life with an earthy voice, mature beyond her years. The music allows her to bare her soul through stories of the complexities of the heart and mind, resulting in a soft rock sound that has a charming folky twist.

DeMuth recently gathered some of the most promising young female musicians in LA to form The Diana DeMuth Band. This exceptionally talented all-female group is a breath of fresh air for the music industry; every musician in the band has a star-studded resume to prove it. The band is currently working to release their first EP, titled The Doorway, due out late this summer.

DeMuth started writing songs in fifth-grade thanks to the encouragement from her guitar teacher and hasn’t stopped since. She recorded her first EP at only fourteen years old.

Although she never talks about it, DeMuth was a 2013 contestant on Simon Cowell’s The X Factor. On a whim during a layover in Colorado, DeMuth auditioned for the show eventually making it through to the celebrity judges round in front of Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, and Kelly Rowland and into the top thirty. DeMuth, being anything but a cover artist, ultimately decided that the show’s vibe didn’t click with her singer/songwriter soul.

During her sophomore year of college, DeMuth’s free spirit and creativity felt too stifled, and she decided to leave to dedicate herself fully to pursuing her dream. Her priority was to write an album from start to finish and release it on her own, a project called “Albuquerque,” which became her debut album. The past few months all of her efforts have been working towards the release The Doorway EP with her incredible new full band.

The Saint James Band Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Katerina Cozias interviews The Saint James Band.

ABOUT THE SAINT JAMES BAND:

George Castrinos, leader of the Saint James Band, was destined to play guitar and was born to a life as a musician. When he was 10 years old he recalls seeing a red Gibson resting in the bedroom of his best friend’s older brother, which was strictly off limits. “I was drawn to it, in a way I can’t even explain,” says Castrinos. Though the often ill-tempered older brother lay sleeping and rousing him could elicit the most frightening verbal reprimand, Castrinos risked the tirade and stealthily entered the forbidden zone. He knew when he touched the headstock of the guitar that music was what he was meant to do.

Around the same time his brother David played him the album Led Zeppelin II. Life, as Castrinos knew it, would never be the same. The mystic Castrinos explains, “When I was a kid my guitar was my higher power, and when I would play the notes, the sound and tones I would get from it would give me purpose.”

Rooted in this purpose, the Saint James Band’s debut album Always Be With You runs rich with Americana folk-rock, intricate finger picking, roots-influenced slide guitar, and twangy hard-driven blues. The songs might remind you of Neil Young, Eric Clapton, and the early pioneers of Delta blues. Castrinos hopes they will make you think positive thoughts and feel good about yourself and your life, which is exactly what he tries to do. There is a vibe of pervasive consciousness to the material, with most of the songs centered on being with someone you care about and seeking one’s true purpose and calling.

George resides in Los Angeles, and often records in a studio whose walls once housed Orson Welles, which was also used as an echo chamber for classic recordings by Elvis and Bing Crosby. He enjoys a peaceful life, which allows him time for introspection and to focus on his band, after a relatively turbulent time in his youth. Having overcome adversity, and forgiven his trespassers, he has now found his spiritual strength in the songs on Always Be With You.

Along the way, George apprenticed under renowned musicians such as the late Robert Lucas of Canned Heat, who bestowed George with the nickname El Rey James. Castrinos is also heavily influenced by Johnny Winter, Son House, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Mississippi John Hurt, and other luminary players. He has remained true to his musical influences throughout the years, drawing on blues, rock and roots, and his creation of the Saint James Band is a testament to this.

Castrinos, who is a proponent of the power of positive thinking, has written ten uplifting tracks for Always Be With You. “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright”, chosen for one of the band’s two forthcoming music videos, was written after his brother David tragically died in 2007. The song is about coping with the loss. Explains Castrinos, “It was a song to him and to my mother, yet it is applicable to everyone.” After David’s sudden death, Castrinos experienced an awakening. His musical focus and passion for his craft turned into a revelation, a new beginning.

In early 2011 Castrinos formed the Saint James Band, where tales of redemption, salvation, forgiveness, and ultimately love became the subjects of his songwriting; a positive outcome from the ashes of a tragic loss. He sees this band as a way to unite people. “I want people to know that there’s a better way to live. Through discipline of your thoughts and actions you can somewhat control your destiny. If our songs can instill hope in people and give them a renewed sense of purpose, then I feel I’ve done my job.”

Though Castrinos has been the lead guitarist in many bands, and has played with some of the finest musicians such as the afore mentioned Robert Lucas and Larry Taylor of Canned Heat, and Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes, the Saint James Band is the first band in which Castrinos is doing everything himself. Says Castrinos, “It’s the first band that I feel is my very own project.” Joining Castrinos in the Saint James Band are bassist Curran McDowell and drummer Ethan Yeager, both alumni of the prestigious, Boston-based Berkelee College of Music. Both are seasoned musicians who also cite Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin as major influences in their musical taste.

For gear, Castrinos’ main guitar is a 1970 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty. He also plays an early 70’s Les Paul Sunburst and a ’69 Gold Top. He uses a vintage 50-watt Marshall Lead Bass combo amp to create the distinctive sound of Americana rock. “There’s something about the Gibson Humbucker pickup and those 60’s and early 70’s Marshall amps that create a classic tone. It’s a legendary sound.” He also plays vintage 50’s Kay and Silvertone guitars.

Most recently, the Saint James Band has played several shows with bands such as Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The latter included George’s daughter Jade, who co-wrote and co-sang their smash hit “Home”. She can also be heard singing with her father on “Sweet Lovely Darling”, the second track on Always Be With You.

Eriel Indigo Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring Musicians discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Megan Boykoff interviews Eriel Indigo.

ABOUT ERIEL INDIGO:

Eriel Indigo is an American recording artist, designer and activist from northern California. Indigo utilizes arts and performance as a vehicle to promote well-being, productive rebellion, intentional evolution and healing of communal consciousness.

The world of electro-pop is being redefined by LA-based galactic songstress, creative director and activist ERIEL INDIGO. The 19 year old utilizes her art and captivating performance as a vehicle to promote well-being, productive rebellion, intentional evolution and healing of the communal consciousness. She wasn’t born in a board room and isn’t a concept someone in a suit thought up to sell drugs, shallow sexuality, candy, alcohol, superficiality or hate. ERIEL is a real entity with something real to say and something pure to share.

Before making the move to LA to fully pursue her art, the indie-pop ingenue grew up in Northern California – immersed in nature, hippies, hillbillies, freaks, fairies, outlaws, guns, music and everything in between. Her mother is a musician, songwriter and healer — her father, a new age spiritual and leftist political writer.
“I suppose my music and art inherited quite a bit from my upbringing,” explains INDIGO. “Sound healing and revolution are in my blood. I was raised in an environment of outlaws and programmed to question everything. I was taught to live outside of the rules and regulations set forth by governments, organized religions and for profit institutions, so naturally – I never trusted them.”

ERIEL made the move down to Los Angeles, where she connected with songwriter and emerging record producer JOHNNY WHAT. Together they independently released INDIGO’S first single and video “INNOCENCE” in 2014, which saw a slew of positive reviews from the Hype Machine community and influential media including Buzzfeed and Revolt. Buzzfeed referred to the track as “ear candy,” and others followed with strong comparisons to electro-pop game-changers Empire of the Sun and Lana Del Rey.

Following the success of “INNOCENCE,” INDIGO continued work on her debut release with her partner in crime JOHNNY WHAT, completing 8 explosive tracks to be released as the ELEVATE EP, due out in March of 2016 and a full album to follow, entitled GALACTIVATE.
“When I create songs I’m looking to craft empowering anthems that can trick people into chanting themselves into inspired and activated states of being,” says INDIGO. “With ELEVATE, I aim to uplift, rile up and awaken. I like to inject meaningful words and content into the repetitive formulaic design of pop music.”

Colette Carr Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s The Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring musicians, singers and songwriters discussing their passions and journeys in the music industry. In this episode hosts Nikki Preston and Jamie Banks interview Colette Carr.

ABOUT COLETTE:

L.A.-based singer/songwriter Colette Carr’s new release represents a radical reboot, with a more vulnerable, emotionally naked honesty that touches on frustrating relationships (“Moments in Love,” “Walking in Place”) before hitting bottom with a Tequila-fueled, self-loathing hangover (“3%”), an evolving sound she describes as “an indie Europop, dance-floor feel.”

A childhood tennis star whose back problems led to an interest in music, drawing and painting, Colette started listening to The Cure and The Smiths before discovering classic rock like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, with favorites including Gwen Stefani, Talking Heads, Suzanne Vega and Deborah Harry before gravitating to rappers like Eminem, Wu-Tang Clan and Snoop Dogg. A budding rapper herself, a teenage Carr was urged by her sister during a concert at UCLA featuring The Game to jump on-stage and freestyle herself.

A self-produced video, “Back It Up,” went to #1 at mtvU, which attracted the attention of Nick Cannon, who helped Colette release her debut mixtape, “Sex Sells Stay Tooned,” through his NCredible Entertainment label. Interscope boss Jimmy Iovine then signed Colette and sent her to the recording studio for her debut album, The Skitszo Collection, which produced the Billboard Dance hit, “Never Gonna Happen” and the Billboard Uncharted topper, “(We Do It) Primo,” working with producers such as RedOne (Lady Gaga).

Taking what she learned at the label, Colette has now set out to make it on her own. Working with FrankMusik in his small studio, Carr confronted all those insecurities and vulnerabilities in her music.

Colette has already road-tested some of the new material while playing on iHeartRadio’s recent “On the Rise” tour. She’s currently rehearsing the songs with a full band, ready to bring the new music to her fans, making sure they know the motivation behind her every creative move. More than just her music and art, Colette’s life, is dedicated to “helping and inspiring people to be comfortable and confident with who they are. I’m not afraid to let everyone see my flaws. I’d love to see this music inspire people.”

Erica Chase Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience edition, is a long form interview series featuring actors and TV personalities discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Kylie Hodges interviews Erica Chase.

Erica’s love of music began at the age of 7. “Something just clicked for me when I listened to music and I knew I had to learn to play the guitar,” she said. “It sparked something in me.” That spark very nearly got extinguished when, while still in grade school, Erica got up the courage to audition for the school play. The teacher stopped her halfway through the song and gave her some harsh criticism that took an emotional toll on the 7-year-old. “She told me that I couldn’t sing; that I didn’t have a good enough voice. And I believed her. That belief stayed with me for a long time.” Erica turned away from her true calling for years; choosing instead to devote her energies to sports. Music, though, was always in the back of her mind, never fully loosening its grasp on her.

Years later, Erica began her last semester at Pitzer College thinking that she would use her English degree and become a teacher. It was the path she thought she should take, even though her heart was not invested. However, when a teaching program geared towards education in inner city schools rejected her, life became suddenly unclear. Though she fronted her college band, both singing and playing guitar, and was passionate about music, she admittedly didn’t know the first thing about the music industry. That was until Erica managed to arrange a phone call with a prominent artist manager/producer who would later play a key role in Erica’s life and career. This call had a profound effect on Erica; it gave her something she had not felt about having a music career: hope and encouragement.

In a bizarre twist of fate less than 24 hours later, while riding her bicycle to meet a friend for lunch Erica was hit by a truck and nearly killed. She was transferred to a flight-for-life helicopter. “Everything went completely white,” says Chase of that day. “I’ve heard other near death stories where people talk about the white light, but to actually see it is a visual I will never shake.” It was a big wake up call for Erica; she had a new appreciation for the fragility of life and realized she had to follow her true passion for music. “I suddenly realized how tenuous our grasp on life is – how impermanent we are. That’s the moment I knew I had to put everything else aside and pursue my music, chase my dreams, and live every moment like it’s my last and hopefully I will inspire others to never give up on their own dreams.”

Now after investing relentless time developing her own sound, Erica is ready to meet the world.

Sons Of Serendip Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s The Concert Experience is a long form interview series featuring musicians and music personality discussing their media and tours as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Daniel Wiess, and Kevin John interviews the band Sons Of Serendip.

The Sons of Serendip is a musical group of four friends, who through a series of serendipitous events, came together in graduate school at Boston University. Micah Christian, a teacher from Randolph, MA, is the lead vocalist of the group; Cordaro Rodriguez, an attorney from Charlotte, NC, is the pianist and guitarist; Kendall Ramseur, a performer and cello instructor from Charlotte, NC, is the cellist and vocalist; and Mason Morton, who is a teacher from Atlanta, GA, is the harpist for the quartet. They have each been playing their instruments since childhood, but recently, they came together to begin what they hope will be a long beautiful journey of creating music that touches people’s hearts. They hope that their music will resonate deeply with listeners and that, in some way, it will make their lives a little better – even if just for a moment.

Micah Christian, a native of Randolph, MA, became interested in music at an early age. However, it wasn’t until his senior year of high school, when he earned a solo in the Massachusetts Southeastern District Senior Choir, that he realized his potential as a musician. As a freshman at Stonehill College, he decided to follow his passion for music. For the next five years, he spent his summers performing with the Cape Cod-based a cappella group, Hyannis Sound, and his love for music deepened. During those years, he also fell in love with his best friend from college and they were married in 2010. Together they have focused their life on helping to build a better world. Micah has volunteered for a year in Honduras, and a month in Calcutta, India with Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity. Also, in 2013, after graduating from Boston University with an M.Div., he and his wife volunteered in a rural community in northern Peru for another year. As a member of Sons of Serendip, Micah hopes to inspire others to use their gifts to spread love and build a better world.

Kendall Ramseur is a singer-songwriter, composer and cellist from Charlotte, North Carolina. Kendall’s relationship with music began at age seven when his father purchased an upright piano for the family.  While excelling in his piano studies, Kendall found his instrument of choice at age ten, “My orchestra teacher laid all the instruments on the floor in the class room and told each student to stand by the instrument of their choice… the cello really sparked something in me”. Kendall chose the cello that day, and one of the ways he would express himself chose him. He then went on to receive his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and Boston University, in Music Performance with a concentration in cello. As a member of Sons of Serendip, his hope is that this quartet will inspire others through their music, creating an experience one will never forget.

Mason Morton was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He lived in a house full of love and encouragement with his mom, an aunt, and his grandparents. He always admired his grandparents, and he says he learned his drive, determination, and taste in music from them. His love of music was instilled early on, and quickly became a passion for him. Mason began to see his own potential with the help of his harp mentors: principal harpist of the Atlanta Ballet, Nella Rigell and former principal harpist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Ann Hobson Pilot. It was their combined confidence in Mason that gave him the courage to believe in himself. After completing his graduate studies at Boston University, he is thrilled his musical journey has led him to be a member of the Sons of Serendip. It is here he has gained the brotherhood he has longed for. As a member of Sons of Serendip, he hopes that his journey will help to inspire others to follow their dreams.

Cordaro Rodriguez was born in Charlotte, NC. He began teaching himself piano at the age of 10 and became well-versed in several other instruments as well as in music production. He has produced music for several well-known international artists. After graduating from Princeton in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, he spent a year volunteering as an English teacher in Ecuador. He then attended Boston University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2012.  At Boston University he serendipitously reconnected with his childhood friend, Kendall Ramseur, and met his future bandmates — Mason Morton and Micah Christian. As a member of Sons of Serendip, Cordaro is very grateful to have the opportunity to pursue his love for music.

All 4 One Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s The Concert Experience is a long form interview series featuring musicians and music personality discussing their media and tours as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Jason Ikeler and Heather Joy Smith interviews the band All 4 One.

Dubbed the “Dukes of R&B” by several internet sources, All-4-One’s hit “I Swear” won a Grammy Award in 1995 for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and enjoyed an eleven-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and a seven-week run at No. 2 in the UK Singles Chart. It has been named by ASCAP as one of the greatest love songs of the 20th Century.[citation needed] It was also nominated for Song Of The Year, as was the single Top 5 smash hit “I Can Love You Like That.” The group was popular before the No. 1 success of “I Swear,” as their previous single “So Much in Love” (originally a No. 1 US hit for The Tymes in 1963) had reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier in the year. Other hits include “She’s Got Skillz”, “These Arms”, “Beautiful as U”, “I Will Be Right Here” and “Someday” (the title single from the Disney animated feature The Hunchback of Notre Dame).

A rift between their independent label, Blitzz Records, and their major label, Atlantic Records, led to the group leaving Atlantic Records as well as Blitzz Records after the release of the album On and On in 1999. The shift in labels left the group in limbo for a few years as they contemplated their next move. In 2001, the follow-up album, A41, was released on AMC Records yielding, “Beautiful As U,” a Top 20 hit on the Radio & Records Adult Contemporary chart. The group’s 2004 album, Split Personality, was given an Asia-only release, and subsequently gave them Asian hits with “Someone Who Lives in Your Heart” and “I Just Wanna Be Your Everything.” For much of the 2000s All-4-One has spent their time touring South East Asia, in cities such as Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Shanghai, Sydney and Perth Australia.

In 2009, All-4-One released No Regrets on the Peak Records/Concord Music Group label. Reviews on the record have garnered an overwhelming response with some reviewers claiming No Regrets is a “career album for All-4-One” The album was largely created in-house, with the group doing the writing for the album, and Jamie Jones production company, The Heavyweights, doing a lot of the production work. The CD produced an Urban Adult Contemporary hit entitled “My Child”.

In June 2015, Billboard.com premiered the first single “Baby Love”, from All-4-One’s 20th Anniversary Album, Twenty

Delicious pop hooks, meets stirring piano melodies, and a dynamic vocal ability: Tara Macri is a force to be reckoned with.

Toronto born, L.A.-based Tara Macri’s debut single “Strawberry Moon” immediately caught the attention of pop music critics with it’s “alterna-pop” flavor and “giant melodies”. Garnering raves from KTLA, Pop On And On, Metro, and airplay from radio tastemakers.

Encouraged by her musically inclined family, Tara was introduced to the piano at the age of two and instantly fell in love with the ivory keys. Tara’s devotion to rock, r&b, and pop music, only reinforced what was previously a dream. Singing, writing, and performing are her passion and the ultimate journey.

After refining her acting skills at the prestigious Stratford Festival, and in the process received the esteemed Mary Savage Award, Tara Macri faced the bright lights of New York City. Tara starred on Broadway in the critically acclaimed production of Hairspray, followed by a performance at the famed Hollywood Bowl alongside friend Nick Jonas. Performing in Los Angeles with friend and guitarist Kenji Chan (Bruno Mars), Tara is ready for her distinct voice to be heard.

“I’ve been working with musicians on this album who have been friends from the very beginning, and above all: they have always believed in me.” Ross King, a correspondent with the BBC, VH1, and KTLA says, “Tara Macri creates a fantastic blend of pop music that leaves me begging for more!” Using an effortless and impassioned voice, with songwriting skills developed by years of tickling the piano, with her trusty guitar close at hand, the singer, guitarist, and pianist has crafted a debut album of timeless pop music; directly from the heart.

Celeste Buckingham Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Spotlight On edition, is a long form interview series featuring actors and TV personalities discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Jason Ikeler interviews Celeste Buckingham.

By the age of 17, Celeste Buckingham had already conquered the European music scene. Born in Switzerland to a Swiss-American family, she rose to international recognition on the program SuperStar, indisputably solidifying her status as a pop star in Eastern Europe along the way. Her 2012 full-length debut, Don’t Look Back [EMI Czech Republic], yielded the Top 10 single “Run Run Run”, which even garnered the honor of “Best Czech & Slovak Act” at the MTV Europe Music Awards. However, in 2013, Celeste officially arrived in the United States, immediately turning heads as she commenced her next conquest.

Flaunting true individuality and an inimitable presence, she captured the attention of fans and tastemakers alike via her soulful delivery and impeccable vocal stylings evocative of influences such as Etta James, Adele, and Joss Stone. She describes her sound best though.

“I never follow a specific genre,” Celeste exclaims. “The music that I like to write and perform is raw and organic with a lot of soul and even a little bit of jazz.”

Stateside, she began a collaborative partnership with musical director Earl Cohen—whose credits include everybody from Lady Gaga, Pharrell, and P!nk to Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, and David Bowie. Together, they began working on her inaugural North American album in earnest during early 2014 with Celeste co-writing everything. In the midst of creating music, she became nominated in the “Best New Artist” category at the Radio Disney Music Awards, marking a major U.S. accolade.

Ultimately though, the best way to meet Celeste is through her music. “I am a songwriter first and foremost,” she declares. “I live the song, and every single piece is like a story or a movie. I develop a relationship to it, and I like to write about subjects that are important to me, my friends, and other young people out there. Music is a ladder for the soul. It should have content, meaning, and beauty.”

That mentality extends to her pursuits outside of music too as she remains dedicated to numerous philanthropic and charitable pursuits. Her track “Nobody Knows” benefited children with Autism, while the video for “I’m Not Sorry” spoke out against discrimination towards women. She also takes time to work with The Boys And Girls Club of America as well as CARE.org.

Celeste stands poised to make a very big impact and could very well change pop music in the process…

Rixton Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Spotlight On edition, is a long form interview series featuring actors and TV personalities discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode hosts Jason Ikeler & Whitney Lane interviews Rixton.

Jake Roche – lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Charley Bagnall – lead guitar, backing vocals. Danny Wilkin – bass and keyboards, backing vocals. Lewi Morgan – drums and occasional backing vocals

Jake Roche (son of actor Shane Richie and former The Nolans member Coleen Nolan) and Danny Wilkin started writing together after they left school. They were later joined by Charley Bagnall through mutual friends and finally Lewi Morgan was the last addition to the band after meeting Jake through a girl he was seeing at the time. The band’s initial fame was through cover releases posted on YouTube; in an interview with Metro, Roche divulged that they had performed a number of covers of songs – “stuff like Ignition and Thong Song” and then decided to do “a more personality driven cover”. Roche had heard The Nolans – of which his mother was a member – performing Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas when he was four and suggested that Rixton cover it. For this performance, Rixton wore “elf ears” and created what Roche called “more of a comedy sketch”. Scooter Braun saw this and offered to sign Rixton. This is a source of frustration to Roche given that “…Christmas” was the video that “took the least time and money and when [Braun] saw [it, they] were four mates having a laugh” and that “[Rixton] put a lot of effort into doing covers and uploading them”.

The band attracted attention with “Make Out”, a song that involved the members lampooning famous 2013 music videos such as “Stay” by Rihanna, “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus, “Roar” by Katy Perry, “Applause” by Lady Gaga, “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke and “Beauty and a Beat” by Justin Bieber. The video was released on 22 October 2013 but it was never released as an official single. The band’s debut single, “Me and My Broken Heart”, was released on 14 March 2014. “Me and My Broken Heart” was released to radio on 11 March 2014 and made its premiere on KIIS FM in Los Angeles during one of JoJo Wright’s shows. It has charted in Australia, Sweden, the United States and reached number 1 in the UK. “Me and My Broken Heart” went gold 27 May 2014 and Rixton was awarded their first gold plaque on 29 May 2014 in New York City.[citation needed] Their first extended play, also titled Me and My Broken Heart followed on 18 March 2014. An album is underway for release through School Boy, Giant Little Man, Mad Love and Interscope Records later in 2014. Justin Bieber joined the group on stage at the SXSW Festival on 10 March 2014. They are also lined up in mid-2014 to play summer festivals across the United States and United Kingdom before returning to North America to embark on their debut tour, The Broken Heart Tour, playing in 12 US and Canadian cities. This was followed shortly after by a UK tour in November 2014. In addition, they played a pop up gig in New York which required police attendance to control the crowds. They will open up for Ariana Grande on The Honeymoon Tour during the North American dates.

The debut album Let the Road was released on 2 March 2015.

Nate Green Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Concert Experience

AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Spotlight On edition, is a long form interview series featuring Actors and TV personalities discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode hosts Mikaela Phillips and Jason Ikeler interview Nate Green.

Nate Green, a Kentucky born nomad is not only singing a similar tune, but living it. Having relocated from city to city more times than your average twenty-five year old and calling home anywhere his guitar is, the young singer-songwriter hunted all over for inspiration in creating his own style and was determined to not only make a name for himself in country music, but to leave a mark.  Merging slick country lyrics with sharp sounding elements of pop, all while adding an edgy twang reminiscent of the Bakersfield sound, sets Green apart from, well…everyone.  But the road to his artistry, like many before, hasn’t been an easy one.
After honing his songwriting skills, Green packed up his things a week before finals his freshman year of college and made the pilgrimage to Nashville, diving head first into the waters of the country music industry.  Living off basically nothing, he began acoustically performing around town to make rent and co-writing with several up-and-coming Nashville musicians and producers.  Although he was slowly but surely making small waves in the industry, his writing style was dramatically different than his peers. When producers interested in working with him began pulling him in various directions trying to influence and redirect his style and sound, he realized he needed to be true to his self.

Hamish’s bio: Having made a name for himself across the local scene in Melbourne, Australia for his impressive live show that encompasses a mix of blues, rock and folk with moments of loud, electric blues-soaked songs as well as delicate acoustic balladry, Hamish Anderson’s debut EP was released independently in November 2013, it comes armed with a host of noteworthy tunes and a songwriting and vocal maturity well beyond his twenty-three years.

After topping the Triple J Unearthed charts in the pop/rock category with a demo track, Hamish picked up his guitar and headed to Sydney to record a five-track EP in BJB Studio with producer Eric J. Dubowsky (Art vs. Science, Weezer, Bluejuice). The EP was engineered by Jean-Paul Fung (Birds of Tokyo, Last Dinosaurs, Silverchair) and mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Dr John, The Shins).

After hearing a few of Hamish’s songs, Rami Jaffee (keyboardist for Foo Fighters and founding member of The Wallflowers) stopped past the studio (while on tour in Australia with Foo Fighters) to record organ and piano, alongside bass player Rob Calder (Angus & Julia Stone, Kanye West) and drummer James Hauptman (Bluejuice).

Hamish has based himself in the United States since March 2014 and has just completed a national tour consisting of 18 dates (including Nashville’s 12th & Porter; New York’s Rockwood Stage; Seattle’s The Crocodile; and both The Viper Room & Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles).

For now Hamish is keen to work on an EP-basis, saying “I very much like the idea of releasing EP’s as little snap shots of where I’m at musically.” And he isn’t wasting any time, having already headed back in to the studio to record new tracks with Krish Sharma (Rolling Stones and Counting Crowes credits) at Henson studios in Los Angeles. The next EP release date is September, 2014.
