Marvel Movie News talks Josh Brolin as Cable, Potential New Characters in Jessica Jones, and Guardians of The Galaxy Christmas Special

With Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 about to hit theaters, this didn’t stop Marvel from generating more news within its expansive universe. Matt Key, Coy Jandreau, and Markeia McCarty had a lot to say for episode 127 of Marvel Movie News!

Deadpool fans will be at ease knowing the role of the iconic Cable has now been cast! Despite already being a part of the MCU as Thanos, Josh Brolin will be doing double duty now that he has been cast as the time-traveling mutant, Cable in Deadpool 2.

Now that Jessica Jones has started production for season 2, a casting call has been revealed for new characters. Keep in mind that these names could potentially be placeholder names, so Team Marvel has some predictions on who these characters might be. The characters and their potential comic counterparts include: Dr Kirby (Dr. Karl Malus), Presley (Paladin), Oliver (Otis Johnson), and Ingrid (Typhoid Mary).

When a fan on Twitter asked director James Gunn if he’d be open to doing a Christmas themed special for the Guardians of the Galaxy on ABC, Gunn said he’s completely open to the idea. With such a fun and exciting possibility like this, Gunn also confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, which is expected sometime after Infinity War.

Marvel president Kevin Feige confirmed that Marvel will in fact be at Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. This being said, just what exactly will be showcased at this year’s prestigious event? Black Panther? Thor: Ragnarok? Captain Marvel? Infinity War? Only time will tell.
