Suicide Squad director, David Ayer and Will Smith are teaming up once again, and this time they’re headed to Netflix.
Netflix’s upcoming fan tasy action film, Bright, features a present day world in which humans and mythical creatures live amongst one another. The film will follow Will Smith as Scott Ward, a cop who teams up with Nick Jakoby, an orc cop portrayed by Joel Edgerton. The duo will have to work together to maintain peace and prevent a powerful weapon from falling into the wrong hands. This is starting to sound a bit like Grand Theft Auto meets World of Warcraft.
Bright is set to star a colorful cast of other humans and creatures including Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramírez, and Ike Barinholtz.
The film is said to be the most expensive film to be produced by Netflix, costing a whopping $90 million. That being said, there’s sure to be some thrilling visuals and effects to be seen when Bright releases exclusively on Netflix this December.
I suppose you can say that the future looks “bright” for Will Smith. Be sure to check out the first teaser and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
